This is here is simply saying “I understand where you are getting at, but this isn’t the correct type of opinion to apply this too, since OP wasn’t trying to be informative and in-depth to begin with, it’s just more or less his first impressions”.
This is also an acknowledgement that’s there’s better opinions that go more way more in-depth and informative because of that, and hence might be something you are looking for.
In case if you played The Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2 Guild Wars 2, and Star Wars, you would already know what i’m talking about here.
The beginning of these games, the first two especially, don’t start off with tons of action, but much rather show you how the characters interact in the situation they are in, with some very good writing and solid cinematics that immerse you into the world and lore of these games, right before you get to actualy play the game. This is like building a house, you lay down Gameplay first, then you use Writing for the walls, ceiling and roof, the lore, the characters, the world, a Beginning middle and end, as well contributing to structural integrity of the house, and using as little house bits like paint and window pots as graphics and polish, and gosh darn, you have a classy house to live in for more then just 2 hours.
MMO’s do have to bring the action right away, but Guild Wars 2 and Star Wars still achieved in that department. Star Wars especially, considering the experience Bioware had with Dragonage, Mass effect and even Star Wars Knights of the old republic, and it shows here, with their ability to pull you in with immersive world and good gameplay in just 2 hours, under even.
This comment is simply saying that “MMO’s are still video games, and people don’t typically spend more then 2 hours on a video game to try it if they like it or not”.
Why you keep on complaining that i derailed it, when i’m trying to get it back on track here, but then turn around and get angry when i tried to get it back on track?.. You’re seriously just complaining for the sake of it now…
Meanwhile i was explaining on what i’ve said in those comments, you’re just spamming videos…
I can’t tell if you’re being serious and or trolling.
So here let’s put it this way. You say the same thing to different people and just try to run the conversation. You derailed the thread by constantly talking when no one wants to speak to you because you don’t make good arguments you think you do….but you don’t.
One person speaking too much can cause people to not want to participate. Imagine being in a room with 20 people. A few of them try to talk but this one person keeps talking over them.
Anyways I’m bored now. I figured I would feed my troll with some food for thought before I left.
…Why would i troll anybody?.. Would benefit would be me for trolling people?..
Why you think me being serious is bad?.. Why you can’t fathom me being serious?..
I don’t think you honestly believe i’m a troll anyways…
I make my responses and that’s that. I seriously don’t understand why you think i have the power to “Run the conversation” or do anything. A person makes a decision on their own to enter or exit the convero, doesn’t mean it’s anybody’s fault but the person making their decision.
Pot meet kettle mate.
Here’s the original comment that Matthew made.
Here’s my response to it.
This is me simply making a response, explaining why i disagree with Matthew’s way of thinking, and even supplied it with further evidence on why i think that is with that video. And what was the response i get after that?..
An ad-hom.
I’m trying to get back to this point, because if “You haven’t play it” is what considered relevant to this topic, then that’s acknowledging that my comments against that line of thinking is relevant too. The only logical conclusion is why my comments are off-topic (and the hypocrisy) is again, because of anti-consumer and fanboy behavior.
…was that suppose to be your sick burn?.. because quite honestly it’s overused and quite done to a point where that joke is better used to joke about JAB’s opinion on somebody who wants to join with Blizzard or his current job status on Blizzard.
That is on them for choosing not to participate.
If i see a very long comment (and believe it or not, there is actually much much longer comments then mine, i know, shocker), i’m not going to be frighten at the length and go like “NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR NOVEL MATE, I DIDN’T READ IT.” i’l just… respond another time, quote the parts that are relevant to me or just not respond at all. Done, finished, over.
Shame the internet doesn’t allow pause between people’s comments… Oh wait it does.
How am i “talking over you”?..
i mean at this point, it’s just more telling of the person who is afraid of my comments more then just me. Even if i make a short comment.
What, you ran out of random off-topic videos?..
Your “Food for thought” is the equivalent of just giving me a bar of soap and presenting that as the main coarse with 3 cinnamon sticks to the side, when i clearly ordered for something way more substantive then that. I think you should take lessons from Gordon Ramsay since you aren’t exactly good any talking about food either…
So you simultaneously make a fool of yourself AND a hypocrite?
A fool because your example is ridiculous. If you watch me easily lift a car over my head and then immediately deny I can do it because I won’t do it over and over and over again, that doesn’t mean I can’t do it. You watched me do it so clearly I can. It means I WONT. There is a difference.
And a hypocrite because in this very thread you went off on a tangent when I provided an example. Only mine made sense.
What’s so confusing about these two things here? Since considering the the topic of the matter in this example are interchangable, it creates a very clear and universal principle here.
“I am capable of reading, i just choose not to”
“I am capable of lifting an entire car, i just choose not to”
“I am capable of doing X, i just choose not to” = A “say “i can’t” without saying “i can’t” sort of way”, if you will.
Didn’t you also said this?..
So why you think it’s contradictory then?
Oh wait, is it because i didn’t shoehorn in racism?.. Is that the problem?..
Gentle reminder that you’ve said this.
Still the most ridiculous thing uttered on this thread then anything i’ve ever said.
So why you were defensive about it and say “Yes i can! i just chooooooooose not too!” as an alternative way of saying “i can’t” then, instead of… you know, proving it to me you could read?.. Maybe your “I’m just going to respond 95% of the comment with no quotes what so ever and be short and vague” format doesn’t work in your favor, friend.
Because it was really stupid example. Even if it’s just about ignorance, which… what am i ignorant about anyways?..
It’s just somebody’s casual meritless opinion on a video game, it’s not the end of the world just because i and the rest of the normal people find them harmless… I seriously don’t know why your trying to guilt trip people and morally grandstand over that. … Over somebody disagreeing with your opinion on somebody else’s opinion of a silly video game.
The principle isnt clear, or even make sense. No matter what example you do, IF i do it once, thats proof i can do it. I dont have to do it over and over and over again to prove it.
