Why can you guys not mail my items and gold over to a different toon? I just want some understanding of what makes that not possible. I spent $75 yesterday on a sub and 3 tokens. I don’t have it in me to grind for a boost
You might want to elaborate?
I purchased 3 wow tokens for a total of 543k gold on stormrage, I was not aware of the 3 hr time limit on a class trial and ended up spending the full 3 hours. The toon is now locked whilst holding 130k gold and 400k in items. Blizzard says they cannot add a little time to the toon or mail items over, I am curious why that is not possible as a paying customer of 12 years I cannot receive this courtesy
Did you submit a ticket and ask? Class trial always had a limit of some sort, the time limit on them is not something new.
I believe it used to be like 8 hours. I’ve submitted 3 tickets. Stating they cannot mail items over or unlock the toon for a brief period. My question is why is that no possible
Policy.
If after 3 tries and they are still saying they cannot do it, I think that’s it. Your only option is to buy a boost to apply to that character
Not sure that it can be done with tokens, but you may want to submit a failed purchase ticket to cancel the token purchases and get the cost refunded.
Their answer may be no, but it never hurts to ask.
It wouldn’t be the first time policy was hard coded into a process. There may literally be no switch to temporarily activate a trial character.
It never hurts to ask indeed. I would try every possible avenue. It baffles me that there is no discretion, not some way they can help in these sorts of scenarios. People make mistakes and taking advantage of the mistake is not cool imo.
Mistakes are player-made. It is on us as players to be knowledgeable of what we’re doing, what limitations may exist and all of that. Especially when you’re doing what the OP did to be sitting on gold like that and not double-checking what rules they may be bound by.
We are the ones who have to hold ourselves accountable for our mistakes. Not blame someone else. The GMs are bound by the rules set by the powers that be. It’s not that they’re sitting there laughing at someone’s misfortune while slamming down a big DENIED button. It’s not them taking advantage of us when we should know what we’re setting ourselves up for.
The policy wasn’t directed towards people who made a mistake. Restrictions on trial characters was directed towards gold farming gangs and people involved in other malicious activity.
Still, being collateral damage is not fun.
This trial issue does sound like a design oversight. I’d make a post over in the bug report forum.
I’m not sure what a suitable solution could be – prevention of store access on trial characters perhaps? A post-lock mailbox access timer? Automatically mail all contents to another character upon deletion?
We’ll have to agree to disagree. I did NOT say blame blizzard! To clarify, I said “it baffles me that there is no discretion”. Which means that its too bad the GMs aren’t empowered to help people when mistakes are made. The policy does take advantage of peoples mistakes.
As far as your “hard knocks life” approach… well… shrugs that leaves so much to be desired. Have a good rest of your day Leilleath ![]()
The CS forum isn’t the place for this kind of thing, given the fact that making comments on someone’s else actions isn’t useful to the overall thread and can derails it.
It’s all taken care of I grinded some bnet balance and unlocked the toon. Ty all for responses in the thread.
