Blizz can you please make these toy and mount free zones

how do toys or mounts impact anything?

the mob moves around
portal opens you have 5 mins to get there before the mob pops out

Some people don’t have ground targeting or general AoE, so they can’t attack. A few portals ago in Thaldraszus, someone put a huge tent down, and while you could still target the goblin with a macro, if you had to do a direct attack against it, you couldn’t. That one died in less than 5 seconds, and the majority of people on the platform didn’t get a tag.

They also make the area more of a lag-fest than needs be.

Well, they both affect visibility and toys might detract from performance or even affect servers.

that sounds like an issue with scaling.
i just did one with an insane amount of people, and it took over 30 seconds to die

my brain isn’t awake enough yet… who doesn’t have an aoe they can use?

Just make a targeting macro.

toys impact server latency

Bumping this. It gets pretty horrible when there are a bunch of punching bags everywhere.

This isn’t even the worst I’ve seen today.

There’s usually a few more large scaled players standing there, way more punching bags, and a tent at one point.

I don’t get why there’s even an argument about this. What do y’all lose by not being able to use mounts and toys around the portal?

Outlaw for one. Blade Flurry’s a cleave so we’d need to land the melee hit

Blade Flurry does have its initial ‘pulse’ at least but, it is target limited so if people are trolling with turnips, there’s the chance you may not hit it

Good luck trying to loot when there’s a bunch of target dummies down and the goblin dies underneath of them.

interact with target?

Let’s turn that around: What do you lose by making a targeting macro?

Time and time again we encounter these complaints, and time and time again the answer is always the same: use the game’s /tar command.

And when you can’t target?

See post above yours.

And when that macro won’t work on the dead body for some reason? Because that’s literally what happened to me after it died.

What macro? Type us the text.

I made a macro for the /tar so that I could just hit the button when it first comes up to kill it. That’s what I’ve been doing this entire time. Only the /tar failed and wouldn’t work after it was dead and stuck under targeting dummies.

?
what macro?
it’s part of the base UI.

oh… you’re talking about a target macro you’ve made?

what’s the macro?
unless there’s a problem with the macro, there’s no reason it shouldn’t work
