All my high level characters have done Legion. And Chromie doesnt work for you after 50 as I recall.
It might just be me, but Chromietime is a waste of a feature. imagine if you could Chromie Time at level cap and run the raids, level the artifact, build the garrison, ect. This could open the game up to so many interesting challenge and speed runs of old content. They are fools for sleeping on such a banger feature.
Looking like youâve exhausted your potential options OP. Other than setting your hearth to Blasted Lands, there is not a quick and easy way without some legwork.
Like I said:
1-Go through the undercity portal, located in the Orgrimmar zeppelin tower.(requires timeshifted version of Tirisfall if of a high level or it will deposit you next to destroyed brill) You will appear in the mage Quarter of UC.
2-Go through the portal to Dark Portal located right next to Bethor Iceshard.
3 - If desired, thereâs a portal at the dark portal leading back to Orgrimmar
- Go through to Undercity.
- Take the portal to Hellfire Peninsula next to Bethor Iceshard.
- Turn around, walk at the Portal, run on the spot as its a solid wall.
- Take the portal back to Orgrimmar.
Because - the Dark Portal in Hellfire Peninsula doesnt work anymore that way.
Since you seem to think it is prying for us to want to know what youâre expecting to do in the Blasted Lands - including whether you are hoping to pass through the Dark Portal, can you at least tell us whether itâs a one-time thing or you plan to return many times?
Took me about 2 minutes to get to Blasted lands last night with my troll. I see no problem.
It is the same on the Alliance side and I would like to know what idiot made that design choice.
No.
I would think the best option as a Horde player would be the vulpera racial. Set up camp at your desired location in the Blasted Lands, then just return to camp if you have a need to get there fast.
Not sure if youâd want that as the sole reason to pick the race however, but after being gone for nearly ten months, itâs the best Iâve got
Since you are dismissing everyoneâs reply because they donât fit your vague and mysterious qualifications⌠I will post my suggestion :
Pay for a Race Change to Vulpera.
Go to Blasted Lands some old fashioned way.
Make your Camp near the Portal.
And forever afterward (or until you change your campsite) , you have fast travel to the portal.
Did I win?
EDIT : (Doh just noticed the post above me said the same thing. I was a bit too slow)
Since we donât know why OP wants to go to the Blasted Lands, we have no way of knowing which phase she wants to be in when she gets there. Talking to the dragon at the border will change the phase, but this is not persistent. If you log out in the Blasted Lands after changing this setting, you may log back in and find yourself in the wrong phase and have to fly out to change it.
I think OPâs only point is about traveling to blasted lands. I personally go through that region often to get to Kara and blasted lands used to be the quickest. I donât think phasing really matters.
After you have done the scenario to open up Draenor, travel to Blasted Lands on a low level can be problematic, because your low level toon will have to reset that toggle every time they enter the zone.
If youâre doing Warlords of Draenor under Chromie Time they have a Battle Vanguard NPC that can port you to Blasted Lands leaving a pretty short run to the portal.
If your use case is different, dunno. Lot of ways to skin this cat.
In hindsight, Iâm actually surprised no one asked this sooner.
Kneeshooter, why exactly are you wanting quick access to the Blasted Lands? Also, are you wanting the pre or post WoD phasing?
Knowing that info might actually help with someone coming up with a quick way to the area.
You might be in the wrong phase of Blasted lands. Thereâs the WoD one and the TBC one.
Alright GLaDoS time to lose the Tauren costume. Youâre not fooling anyone.
Itâs stuff like this that makes me happy the forums exist. Itâs a shame this stuff is so rare here.
I use the Violet Seal of the Grand Magus, it is the closest teleport location Iâve found. It teleports you to Karazhan and then Blasted Lands is a relatively short flight. Not as convenient as the old portal was but about the same distance as Stonard I believe and you donât need to hunt down a mage.
