lol warriors can stay where they are currently they had there time to shine in classic

Wars seem fine to me. And they dont even have good gear yet… 2 gap closers and a baseline death grip I got executed from 80% hp for 2.5k yesterday…

blizz should remove death grip if theyre removing frost trap from launcher only fair

Ok as a normal human being with a relatively functional frontal lobe, I get why they made this change due to Resourcefulness and entrapment being way easier to obtain due to 10 more levels in talent points.

However, as a hunter main who just enjoys the fact that he can do some crazy jump method trap launcher farming and because of that some gold farming methods actually became more fun & interesting, I’m fu**ing livid. There’s blatantly ignored nuances here regarding how this can be balanced, and it feels like they just took the cheapest route possible.

Why was there such an utter LACK of critical thinking before making this change?
It’s almost as if the first idea that popped into some intern’s brain while examining the issue, was blurted out in a team meeting and shipped the next morning.
Could you not strictly apply this change in pvp combat only? In Battlegrounds only?
Was a DR to entrapment too much work?
Was causing the most recently launched trap of that magic type to disappear when launching a new one, too much work??
This is just ridiculous. Make it right.

Warriors dont whine about shamans like they do about hunters. Thats why no nerfs.

In the 20 year history of wow every hunter nerf has been based on 2 things.

  1. Whiney players that didnt have the sklll to figure out how to counter the hunter.

  2. Pvp

They could have adjusted this many different ways with less backlash that was not near as abrupt/abrasive.

  • Only allowing one trap of each type at a time to persist…
  • Add diminishing returns to Entrapment
  • Remove Entrapment’s chance to heartbeat proc after the initial trap trigger
  • Reduce the range of Trap Launcher to add the missing ‘risk’ they spoke of…example idea being 20 yards down from 35 yards.
  • Change Trap Launcher to convert Frost & Explosive traps into instant burst grenades. Frost Grenade would slow targets hit (but could be dispelled with no persistent ground effect) and Explosive Grenade would deal instant Fire damage but no longer have a ground effect DoT (the damage wouldn’t even need to be crazy high if it also debuffed targets to take additional Explosive Shot damage for 4-6 seconds).

There are other ideas floating around…all seem better than 'Trap Launcher throws traps…except that Frost one…but you can still drop them all over the place and roleplay as Teemo from League of Legends, continuing to slow, root, and annoy people all over the battlefield.

Can we fix this already its been enough time put a DR on it or make it like blackout only roots at the initial proc of the trap

I understand the decision that went into this, but would you please consider making Wyvern Sting usable in combat as a transition to make this not feel so bad? This would be a nice quality of life change. TY the Nerf bat has hit us more often than not in SOD :smiley:

The nerf bat hits us atleast ounce every phase sometimes even more then ounce. But blizz never hits shamans with the nerf that they deserve

This probably should happen as if one is caught at range by a Hunter, its not easy to catch them most likely resulting in the Hunter getting a kill. The damage is absurd.

Because there is nothing else but damage.

No meaningful defensive cd, no mobility, no self healing, etc.

And hunter CC boils down to FAP and there is essentially no CC as anything outside of slows and roots that a hunter can do breaks on 1 damage (hunters dont pvp as bm because pet dies to easily so intimidation isnt really counted as hunter CC due to bm being the much worse pvp spec in 99% of situations)

When are you going to fix Warlock Pets and their health issues??

Or are you guys going to keep ignoring it with each and ever passing Phase.

Blizz only nerfs hunters they dont care about locks or shamans

Nah removing it from trap launcher makes the most sense the cry babies are happy and that is all the matters. Zirene said it was TOO powerful in pve as well and that even though they designed hunter around trap launcher and sniper training for sod they want hunter to have to run into melee and waste sniper training to be able to slow the enemies.

Nerf Explosive trap. it does 3x the dmg of a Warrior’s Mortal strike

Did you guys know rogues can remove and see traps?

Did you guys know that rogues and druids can stealth to the hunters vantage point? Did you know that rogues don’t rely on mana and have shadowstep now?

Sounds like 1 rogue and a resto druid could stealth at a vantage point and probably take on 5 hunters at one time.

But the trap launcher was the problem right?

No it doesnt it hinders us in PvE content all because some cry babies are mad that AV is bottle necked by 4 hunters who SURPISE SURPISE are still laying frost traps down in the choke points.

This is exactly why its stupid mages where able to kite mobs for YEARS and AoE grind dungeons boost players but now that hunters are doing its not ok?
