Trap launcher/ invalid target

I recently boosted my hunter. Im unable to use trap launcher. Says invalid target.

I have disabled addons, tried spell from spell book, reloaded game.

Hoping the maintenance today fixes it, only seen a couple others with the same problem, but no solutions yet.

Any help appreciated, already made ticket.

Trap launched is now a TOGGLED ability, it stays on until you click it off. CLick it once, the icon changes its color, now click on trap of your choice and launch away…

Ive toggled it on and off multiple times. Still having an invalid target error , with nothing targeted. And im aware you dont have to target something, for clarity.

For me, whenever I switch specs, I need to toggle it off/on to avoid this issue. That has been working for me.

so really what you’re saying is to try and swap specs! That makes sense as something similar happened to my DK with some spells! Thanks for the idea!

No, not at all.

What I am saying is that I have only encountered the issue you’re discussing after swapping specs (repeatable steps to reproduce the issue), and that toggling off/on works for me (repeatable workaround).

I’m having the same issue. I can’t use trap launcher at all. doesn’t matter if I toggle it on or off

Try using feign death with trap launcher disabled, stay in the channelbof FD for a few seconds. Use a trap. Then activate trap launcher and try using another trap with launcher.

I’m having the same, invalid target, problem when using the trap fly out selection. I then tried pulling each trap out individually onto my bar and that seems to get trap launcher to work. Seems Blizz needs to fix being able to access traps from the fly out menu while having trap launcher active. Can place traps at my feet with the fly out menu when trap launcher isn’t active, but as soon as turn it on get the invalid error.
