They did. Chat could not handle it. Much like you seem to have assumed someone was on the video because of their appearance and not their capability.

What I meant is I don’t care what they look like or the sexual orientation. I’m satisfied if they’re qualified enough, so don’t go spiraling into your own world of social justice. I didn’t assume anything, I simply stated I don’t care about this stuff, and only if they’re good at their job.

I’m pretty much the same… I try to live my life by the golden rule… and a persons honesty, competence etc mean more to me than what they identify as… I could personally give a rip.

The Twitch chat was disgusting, on the most basic human level. Extremely transphobic, and then it grew from there.

I think you’re reading the Bible incorrectly. You sound more like a Pharisee than a follower of Jesus. Jesus loved all, including the prostitutes and tax-collectors, and really only clashed with the self righteous religious leaders. Jesus freely loved and forgave all.

That’s not to say the bigotry you’re thinking of doesn’t exist. They do exist. I just think were too quick to think that people who are allies are thought of never bigoted or their bigotry is justified… in this sort of “Eye for eye, tooth for tooth” sort of way when it’s against a majority population like Whites, Male or Heterosexuals, (And same goes for everybody else) when hatred only begets hatred.

I dislike bigotry of any sort.

I’M pretending to care? This position isn’t new to me by any stretch of the imagination. Bigotry of any sort angers me, because i actually know what hatred is and how it doesn’t justify or stop hatred and it will just keep on going. You seriously need to educate yourself on what bigotry actually means if you think it’s okay to do it to a certain group.
