To add some context that chat was almost engineered to be toxic…about everything. Everyone on there was complaining about everything. A degree of anonymity makes people brave but also stupid. They wanted to attack and weren’t too choosy about their targets. In all honesty they should do away with chat as it is nothing but toxic during these events and you can’t read it anyway.
I don’t agree on every point with trans people, but then they don’t need my agreement to exist. They exist already. Whatever you may feel, it took A LOT of courage for that person to sit there knowing they would be the target of a lot of hate. I respect that. Treat people with respect and dignity no matter how you feel about them and just try to be a good person. Come on people.

Yes, and we call those people who go around spewing hateful things at others bigots and bullies.
People can, and will also push back against them - an opinion they are also entitled to. People can, and will, not want them around in their communities and groups.
At least we agree on something.

I have to wonder what people expect to happen when tons of people are thinking the same thing but somehow they’re all meant to pretend that they aren’t. Like the overton window on this topic is “agree with us or get banned”

Although I’m not a believer anymore I have been a catholic for more years than I care to count. Christians tend to be very judgy despite what their teachings say.
