I am transmutation specialty and I don’t know what the proc rate is supposed to be But I have been doing transmutes for over 3 weeks straight and nothing! Same for elixir or potion discoveries. Made dozens of flasks and hundreds of potions and elixirs and NOTHING. No new discoveries. Is this Profession bugged?

It’s not bugged. I’ve made hundreds also. You just have bad luck. it’s not a make X amount and learn Y. It’s a small % chance to learn when you craft any outland recipe. I’ve learned BLinding light , and death, and water --> Shadow.
I know it doesnt. I was stating I have not had any extra transmutation procs and at the same time have not discovered any new potions or elixirs. sidenote: why does my profile picture says 69 druid when i’ve been 70 for weeks.
It took me just over 5k elixirs and 500 flasks before I discovered all 5 flasks and the super rejuv pot.
It’s literally just RNG. The best way to do it is to go elixir master, find out which elixirs are selling for close to crafting cost or even a profit, and spam make those (as long as they actually sell).
I made primarily elixir of major mageblood followed by elixir of healing power and adepts elixirs. Major mageblood has always been a slight profit not including procs, but healing power and adepts have been a slight loss without factoring in procs. But if let’s say elixir of healing masters is only 10s less than crafting cost and it sells for 2g, as long as I get an extra every 20 elixirs I still break even. And the rate is more 15-20% chanceish anyways.

My bad, did not read your post carefully.
Maybe the high value of transmute items and that there’s only one transmute a day means a proc is going to be ever very rare?
I’m elixir and they proc rather regularly.
Imagine having an earthstorm diamond transmute proc as frequently as an elixir.
Log out and log back into account on the forums. Usually fixes it.
Transmute master is akin to buying a lottery ticket. Nowhere does it say you’re going to win no matter how long you play. Pot or elixir master is far more lucrative and useful compared to one button click every 20 hours.
I have had the same problem, 0 procs on transmute. ZERO. i did learn 2 flask recipies back to back making just a few potions tho.
Not bugged.
After hitting 375 (not required for discoveries) I made about 70 potions between health and mana and got nothing. I also made about a stack of adepts and drastically and also nothing. So around 110 or so and that got nothing for it.
While leveling alchemy I did get one discovery early on but never again. I have since done two transmutes (primal might and skyfire) and gotten a discovery both times. I also recently did get a discovery when making elixirs for my elixir mastery quest.
I’m fairly convinced transmutes are the best way to get discoveries. They seem to have a high, if not 100%, discovery rate and I would assume that’s because each transmute is a 20 hour CD.
In fairness 2 transmutes isn’t exactly concrete, but it is pretty suspicious that I can grind our hundreds of potions/elixirs and get 2 discoveries and two transmutes also get me 2. I’m planning to do primal life xmutes over the next day or so to see what happens. If I don’t get discoveries off of them I’ll try to sell my primal might xmute instead and see what happens.
Random chance is random. 50% of the time it works every time.
I never said it was bugged. Maybe u ment to reply to the OP. I also found water–> Shadow making a primal might. It’s not 100% tho i’ve made like 7 and proc once on those. I’ve prob made mana potions and healing power elixirs the most and that’s what i’ve had the most procs on. Prob just because i’ve made them the most. Anything that’s a tbc recipie can proc. I’d just use the cheapest mats and make a bunch.
why would anyone pick transmutation speciality, the one where each chance for a proc is on a 20 hour cooldown? lol

When you transmute stuff, you’re gonna get transmute discoveries. I’ve done about 6 or so xmutes for primal might and got 2 discoveries. But I feel that a lot of the good pots are in elixir and potion crafting, so if you wanna make money/hope for good discoveries, i’d go potion or elixir master over Xmute unless you desperately need Primal Mights ASAP and want to sell the extras.
I have transmuted primal might for 14 days straight with 1x proc each time

Bad rng is bad rng. I’ve had heaps of discoveries.
Strangest thing happened today. A few hours after i replied to this topic I did my daily Primal transmute and bam!! not only did I get a proc, but i got a discovery too! It was gona be my last transmute as a transmute master, as I was gona switch to elixir today, but i recon I’ll hold off for a little while and see if i can get lucky again. I guess the squeaky wheel gets the loot?
