I wondered if they were doing another one.
god I hope they can get the math right this time.
If I really need to change outfits to RP, I keep some heirlooms glammed.
The last advantage of looms…transmog costs.
Don’t worry, you’ll be able to solo Legion raids four years after they do it again.
This is true but removing gold from world quest will impact the people at the bottom not the ones flipping or hoarding gold. Those people are not dependent on WQ gold, where your average play most likely is. Making better gold sinks would work better than removing WQ because you are talking money out the game.
Housing could become a massive gold sink if a large number of items are available on vendors. So if a person made 1000g from a WQ but turned around and spend 2500g at a vendor it is not just a wash but also removes 1500g from game. Better gold sinks is the answer and letting tranmog be free would be a little sweet to go with the bitter.
oh dear god…lol
It’s weird. Upgrade track has a much bigger impact on vendor value than raw ilvl. Dumping excess vstones into weapons & trinkets before vendoring them will increase it by maybe 1g.
Either way, vendor value determining tmog cost means the way to lower tmog cost is to gut the vendor value. Is that what people want? For all their delve drops and random greens to be completely worthless?
Casual players will have less time spent, meaning less gold earned. That crowd has never really been the issue in regards to why the game needed gold sinks. Thank the WoD slush fund memes. Causal players also still have to repair their gear so they do have a gold sink, albeit small
Isn’t upgrading heirlooms rather expensive though? Like i’m pretty sure upgrading 1 leather set to max heirloom level would be far more than 1000 transmog fees. Maybe im upgrading mine wrong xD
The people getting rich off the AH aren’t generating any new gold, though. There’s still new accounts and characters being made every day questing it up, people passively scooping up gold, vendoring loot, and they’re far more numerous. They have to make all of that go somewhere.
Necessary evil. Soaks up gold, keeps the token cheap. Similar to repairs.
At least Trial of Style is free mog week. Twice a year.
lmao.
Think I found your problem.
Find a mog and stick with it for a while.
this is the solution to whales and barons having millions while most players are poor
I was thinking the same thing, honestly.
You’re pretty brave, though, to post that on the forums. I’m surprised people arn’t biting your head off with comments like “BUT MAH GOLD SINK”
+1
and thats another thing, blizzard…just stop with the excessive costs now that looms are garbage for any real use.
Get rid of the upgrades…when its time, just increase our loom level with new expansions already. It no fun putting in all that cost investment to save less than 100 gold in mogging costs while leveling to current content.
AND…just fill in the blank slots already for god sake…feet, wrists, hands, another ring…and put them on the guild vendor cheap…no grinding. Its been brutal doing all that upgrading then having it be pretty much made pointless now.
Exactly the point, however…we did a lot of grinding for the damned appearances, then bliz wants you to grind gold to be able to use them as liberally as you want to.
Feels like being taxed on the money I make…then being taxed again when I spend it…then whoever I spend it with gets taxed yet again on the same dollar lmao.
That made me laugh. The last squish was horrible.
Mog is a gold sink. Always has been. They did that on purpose.
yeah…we all know that detail, lol
