Transmog prices are getting a little bit out of hand. Any chance we can reduce them?
I was going through my outfits, and I have one that’s 500g, another that’s 700g, and a few that are 800g. I like swapping my transmog a lot, but it’s eating at my gold.
I play pretty casually these days and don’t have time to farm gold. Mostly just PVP and a few mount farms.

Sorry. You want to wear the expensive fashions, you have to make the big bucks. Your only other option is to marry well (or find a sugar daddy).

No, because it’s based off vendor value.
You can be a Velf, though.
Also: one world quest will pay for your mog.

How about we do one better. Let’s get rid of the cost and make it free.

If you’re mainly PvPing just spend your honor on bloodstones to sell on the AH you can easily make enough gold to cover mog and repairs.
That’s a very poor reason to say “no.” It’s not like the percentage of the vendor value can’t be lowered.

Then you’ll get the “but we need gold sinks!!!” brigade who ignore that there are other places where gold can be siphoned if needed.

Just do like 2 WQ thats like 2k gold,
That’s what I normally do toward the end of the season. Early on though I use the ones I buy. Crafted gear requires bloodstones, and I’m already using them for that and gem sockets on PVP gear. Gem sockets cost 3 bloodstones. I won’t be able to start selling them until a few weeks down the line when I’m done gearing my alts.
There was a world quest literally 10 seconds outside of Dornogal that would take a whole minute to do that would net enough gold to cover a transmog cost.
Or be a void elf.
People always complain about OP alliance racials like meld or stoneform but the real king has always been half price mogs.

It is lame. The way it is right now with mats, potions, repairs, flasks and food I don’t really save any gold so the extra stuff feels silly.
Although, that’s probably the point in Blizz’s eyes lol.

Sure, maybe if you’re not wearing plate.

Yes, several people have already offered that suggestion, and I do the world quests that reward gold.
I’ll type it again since you missed it in my first post. I occasionally enjoy changing my transmog several times per day. Unfortunately, world quests can only be done once per day unless you have an army of alts. But even then, I’d want to change my alts transmog which… you guessed it, costs gold.
There’s no reason the cost of transmog can’t be lowered. It’s literally just changing your outfit.
I’m not asking for ways to make gold, I’m asking for transmog to cost less.

Sockets are not needed right away outside of precog for casters/healers you could have easily sold the first few honor caps for bloodstones when their price was even higher getting you like 30-40k gold per honor cap
It’s been an issue since Legion. It’s all just artificial to make you grind more. There’s no reason changing your outfit should cost between 500 to 700 gold (Legion artifacts greatly raise the price) when quest only give you 20 gold. And only a few WQ give you gold.
To me it would make more sense to charge you for creating an outfit and saving it. So you make your outfit and the games charges you a one time fee of 600 gold to save that outfit to your transmog outfit selection, then when you wanna change your outfit, you can just do it at no charge, rather than spending x amount of gold everytime you wanna change it.

yeah…they let us collect the mogs, then charge us our first borns to use the flippin things liberally. Just remove mogs entirely and be done with it already…
NON mogging sort: “muh…how much you changing mogs anyway??”
Literally not…because the cost is too stoopid to bother with.

I should get a cut of the gold when people use my transmog mount

It’s pretty much the only way to get gold off of casuals who don’t buy flasks, food, or crafting components. Unless we want to crank repair costs even harder.
