After converting miscellaneous pieces to “tier” from the Catalyst, the 1 character cannot transmog gear - when I click apply, it just makes the sound but nothing happens. Additionally, when trying to add Cosmetic pieces to my collection, it gives me an error saying I cannot do that at this time.
I am able to transmog on other characters but in the spirit for the CS forums, I deleted my WTF and CACHE folders, disabled all addons and repaired the game but still the same issue still occured.
Anyone have this happen?

Have you checked to ensure the character has the appropriate armor pieces equipped?

Is what you are trying to transmog the same type of item, such as cloth only for cloth, leather for leather, mail for mail, and plate for plate?

Yikes. I get that many people even still after all these years wouldn’t understand this restriction but it’s still pretty jarring to be hit with it. It’s akin to “did you reset your device”.
Anyway, all I’m trying to do is re-mog my plate pieces that I converted using the catalyst to the plate appearance I’ve been using for years.
So to answery our question, yeah plate to plate confirmed.

Players accidently equipping a non-appropriate for their class armor type (esp. as plate wearers) is common. It doesn’t have to be the direct piece you wish to transmog.
Also, since we are going with the “did you reset your device” questions, what you did was not a proper UI reset (since all you did was disable your addons).
Please note, this is not the same as disabling addons OR doing a /reload of your UI.

Yes, it is equipped. I guess it’s also worth mentioning that the afflicted character is unable to mog any and all pieces (PLATE TO PLATE). I’ve been spam clicking apply for all the PLATE sets for this PLATE wearing class and zero slots are mogging. By slots, I mean the Head, Shoulders, Cloak, Chest, Shirt, Tabard, Wrists, Hands, Waist, Legs and Feet, Weapon Main Hand, Weapon Off Hand. :]
Do the full ui reset a corrupted ui can affevt 1 toon or every too.
try this.
there is a bug with some artifacts weapons when you choose a premade “transmog set” that has some weapon ilusion. (feral druid daggers have this problem), the solution is to reselect the illusion of the weapon even though it already shows that it is selected

I never mentioned accidentally equipping a non-appropriate class type on. I did not just disable my addons. I mentioned wiping those folders you listed.

You did not mention deleting the INTERFACE folder.
I didn’t say you did. Accidental can mean you didn’t notice that it was done.

My friend, you give me hope about this community as you hit it right on the nail. I use pally’s Silverhand Artifact mog and it had an illusion stuck on it. Removing it allowed me to continue the game’s real endgame - Transmog.
Too bad according to some forumgoers, it’s my UI to which their solution is to just redo my entire interface as if I didn’t spend countless hours finetuning it.

Sometimes it’s a UI issue, that’s why the advice was given. You wouldn’t have had to delete it, just rename it.

This worked on my Rogue as well using his legendary weapon. I just changed a weapon to something else and it worked. I initially submitted a ticket and they said reset Interface/Cache/WTF folder but it had no effect.
Glad u got it working but necromancy if frowned here anything older then a few weeks needs to be left where u found it Somethings are better left alone.
