You should have to look as stupid as your gear does on an RP server.
I can say that i want toggle until the cows with 20 year arrested development come home, that does not change what the game dev, Blizzard Entertainment, will do. So no, thats not the reality of you you silly willy… Holy moly.
Also, you can literally just play classic era/hardcore/wotlk for no xmog, why dont you just do that? Why should only one side of this coin get playable options while the other is relegated to a sparkly phone game?
probably because they are all classic too. you log into the classic portal in order to play sod. not wrath or retail
SoD isnt classic. I know you want it to be so desperately, but it isnt.
you use the classic portal in order to get to sod. they also limnit the changes done to seasonals in order to not spill over to era. that is why runes are runes and not trained abilities. That happened with the rank system when som launched as proof.
you are playing sod on the classic client.
cope more
Not interested in the slightest about retailafying SoD.
I use the classic engine to login because its a completely different engine.
This isnt SoM
This isnt classic
This is new
It includes spells and playstyles from multiple future itterations of the game.
SoM did not, som was classic but faster
Wrath is wrath
Classic era is classic era.
Youve been playing the same game for 20 years, and you can continue to play it, its right there buddy. SoD isnt that game. And another thing, i dont even care if xmog gets in, but you seem brain broken just by the thought of it.
were playing sod and there is no xmog
the only thing left to do is cope
no toggle? no xmog
the end
SoD literally just started. Whats wrong with you?
Also, what am i coping for? I have zero emotions about it if they dont include it.
Same game to me chief.
Wrong, go to retail.
Holy hell I come back after 2 days and there’s 70+ replies to this thread.
People must really want Transmog.
Most of the arguments against are pretty bad takes. Transmog doesn’t affect gameplay for the majority of people at all in the slightest, but gatekeepers still want want to be able to judge you by the gear you wear immediately.
When you don’t have an argument…
Stupid people resort to name calling. Your dolls are calling you.
The arguments against Transmog have been gone over thoroughly…and they’re completely valid. Just because you can’t handle PvP or actual gameplay doesn’t invalidate them. Go play dressup in the real world and leave WoW alone.
I see Illmet is back from his weeklong forum vacation and jumped right back into breaking ToS immediately…
Flag and move on.
Yes…I flagged you and moved on. Thanks.
i said earlier that i wouldnt reply anymore in this thread but ill leave 1 last one.
you can have transmog if they make it client side only or make a toggle that people can toggle off other peoples transmog (also make the toggle off the default setting) .
otherwise no transmog.
the simple facts are that there are real gameplay and social reasons why transmog being forced on others is a bad idea weather you think they are valid or not (they are) so no to being forced to see your transmog.
we can all agree on it if these conditions are met though and there is no point to this thread anymore.
Feel free to stay in dead, gdkp ridden era where you belong, mr. level 35 male night elf hunter. That alone tells me enough of your personality.
What does GDKP (which I hate) have anything to do with Transmog?
Transmog makes player achievement invalid. It opens the doors for cash shops and cosmetics. It takes away from PvP…a major part of WoW. It makes the game less goal driven. It reduces player retention.
Ultimately…players need goals to continue playing. Getting Gear is the single most driving force in an MMO for player retention. If everyone can look however they want and new players have nothing to aspire to…there’s little reason to keep playing.
If players want to look a certain way in an MMO they should earn it and wear it around town. Transmog has no place in actual gameplay.
The negatives FAR outweigh the positives.
