Transmog Improvements Megathread

Please add the option to make shoulder gear one side only. There are plenty of NPCs with plate shoulders on one side when we only get a both-sided option.

Armsmaster Harlan roleplayers drooling heavily

I’d like to add…

Weapon sheathe toggles for 1h weapons, hips and back

Option to hide either left or right shoulder pad

More lazed unlock conditions for armor that are the same but for different armor types, for example engineer Google’s and opulance crowns, these are the exact same model but aren’t unlocked on different armor types

Please let us transmog 2 handed weapons as 1 handed.

I totally said that like 10 posts up :stuck_out_tongue:

Agreed though. We need a toggle for how to sheath our weapons.

Have you seen 90% of the Cloth gear that drops?
It literally looks more plate-like than a ton of plate in this game.

I would like to see a “Toggle Robe bottoms” included in this.
As a cloth-user, I would like to start using things that can make me look more like a Paladin, or at least something that’s not an entire robe.
Being able to at least cut off the bottom half of robes would be a good start.

You know what’s worse?

A lot of the cloth leggings actually have a unique texture, it’s not always just the robe one. But it’s always, 100% hidden under that stanky old robe model.

I’d love to be able to just toggle it off, but having the generic ‘robe’ model updated so it looks more like an actual robe would be great, too. I’ve wanted Khadgar’s robe thing for basically ever.

Many of us still use Truthguard. I have seen more protadins than not use it. Especially if you did the MT challenge, due to the flail being one of two existing ones in game

Point was that some people don’t even mog to it. If that’s an option then clearly it doesn’t do much for spec fantasy. The fact you can opt out of using it already lessens the impact it would have on spec fantasy. Not only that but we don’t even have these weapons, they’re gone both in game and in lore currently so it doesn’t make sense to throw this restriction in there.

I wish we could use the older legendary weapons as Transmogs.

I didn’t read all of it, but if you’re advocating for more customization, I’m in. That’s all I needed to know lol.

It’s especially dumb given that we can mog the mop and legion legendaries already.

Agreed, I want to be able to mog the bow from the sunwell. I have it on my Blood Elf already.

I just want them to fix my transmog, 8.1.5 broke the helm’s color for some strange reason.

I really want items that were already soulbound to be “collected” in my transmog tab. I have a bunch of old characters from the time when warriors and paladins used mail until 40, and hunters and shaman used leather until 40, with lots of cool mail and leather armor that are super expensive to get now, or are even no longer dropped in the game. I want the restrictions to be lifted so these items can be collected as a transmog and I can use them on other characters.

I also really want holiday item restrictions lifted, especially the flowers. I want to be able to put flowers in my characters’ hair year round. I also want hats with hair, and cool sunglasses and normal glasses we can transmog. I do not feel that these things are too much to ask for, or will hurt the game experience of others in any way.

My last item I really want is for the druid Mage Tower forms to no longer be tied to the artifact appearance. I wish we could just go to any druid trainer and select from a menu the forms we want to use. I don’t want to be restricted to daggers that can be hard to match when it comes to transmog.

-Let us, up at least to WoD era, use any unlocked gear as xmog no matter what level we are. (I say at least to WoD because Legion is still fairly fresh, and BFA is ongoing, wouldn’t mind at ALL them being included though.)

  • Add in all missing sets that were lost when the 1 gear type only for each class was added in.
  • Loosen weapon types. Let Paladins use staves. Let casters use wands on daggers.

And in general.
-Let all new toons start with a shirt and a tabard in inventory.
-Add in a few new weapon illusions.
-Start adding in missing pieces of gear were were never able to get, like Ulduar boots, unobtainable tabards, Nightborne weapons.
-Give us BoA heirloom belts, bracers, boots, and caster sword. For level 1-110.
-Remove the Holiday gear restriction, why wouldn’t a Druid wear a flower wreath all year, or a shaman wear the midsummer set.
-Add in the Sia’s from the Monk starting area as both daggers and 1h sword.
-Re unlock mix and matching Legion artifacts, you could in Legion, why not now. I could use the Oathkeeper sword and a different shield, so why cant I now?
-Hide Bracers and Gloves. Give female toons options of bra/swim top/halter top that fits the theme of the race to wear.
-Finally fix the tabard/belt and tabard/gown issue.
-If you have an unlock for a class option, but not for an 'all to use ’ option, unlock it for all. EG Monk ‘Staff of the Hidden Master’ or Druid ‘Staff of Earned Tranquility’

Option that could still be added as just a reguler ol’ reward in BFA, pirate hat and eyepatch. Eng google eye patch. Bandit mask…and eye patch. Basically more eyepatch option…oh oh oh, double eyepatch for demon hunters!

Also let us choose between chest that come with a dress/gown part, or a separate chest with a separate legs selection.

Make that nice new Nelf glaive a sword and a demon glaive option.

Hide Left/Right shoulder pauldron option. Like Saurfang and Zappy Boi.

I want to t-mog the slot not the item. that would help me alot.
In other words, no matter what I put into the chest slot it looks like X.

that would cost them a fairly large gold sink, so i doubt they would do that.

I know this won’t change, but it would be nice if mog wasn’t so much of a gold sink. Look at how much more willing people are to try creative mogs during the trial of style when transmog is free. The removal of having to pay thousands of gold to try out an appearance makes people far more willing to experiment.

I’m not saying every DH needs to wear fel green and every pally needs to wear gold. But when you look at my outfit it’s still clear it’s leather.

This I actually agree with.
