You do realize how silly of an example that is, right? An Italian pizza shop, based on your implications, would be highly specialized. WoW, on the other hand, caters to MANY different kinds of people and is rife with customization options typically.
Continuing your example, pizzas are entirely customizable and it’s fully up to the customer on how they should be done. This is true for an Italian pizza shop too. If someone wants X ingredient on their Y pizza (both X and Y are things that this pizza place carries), do you think they’d tell a customer that they’re wrong for wanting that? No! They’d do it and take their money, like any person would.
What people like me are asking for is simply more options for the pizza. If someone wants sausage on a pepperoni pizza, or pineapple, or XYZ, who is to say they’re wrong?
Also, Blizzard never said never. And even if they did, we can still push for change. Never is rarely true – we’ve seen all sorts of changes to the game that Blizzard said or implied would “never” happen.
I mean lets continue on the pizza story here, What if the pizza place said no you cant have x topping on it. If you continue to push for it are you not in the wrong? they already said you cannot have pineapple on your pizza.
Wow is highly specialized. Its an MMORPG. RPG = roleplaying games meaning there is some roleplaying you have to do. if you cant roleplay as a certain class then idk what to tell you.
Oh man. Have you ever play a tabletop rpg? In my personal experience, playing a role that defies stereotypes, or bordering on the absurb, is a hundred times more fun than following the most boring, lore accurate conventions. You are not asking us to play out the character we created in our heads, you want to confine us to the tiny box that you deemed acceptable, without any room for growth. Rpgs are about the freedom to create and play whatever you wish, and one of the clearest marks between a good dm and a bad one is how much the latter forces their players to do things their way.

Again, this is a silly example lol. Pizzas are inherently customizable, regardless of where you go. There is no pizza place on earth that will not oblige to a simple topping swap request. I’m not asking for the cooks to bake a cake, or to roast a pig, or to make me a milkshake out of pepperoni. I’m not pushing for a specific new type of customization, I’m pushing for Dracthyr to be able to enjoy the kind of customizations that literally every other race (except for Mechagnomes as well, but they are less extreme than Dracthyr) has been able to enjoy from the very get-go.
RPGs are among the most customizable experiences in gaming, fullstop. RPGs are all about personal choices made by people. If you play any tabletop you will know exactly what I’m talking about. WoW may not be a tabletop game, but it is extremely customizable when compared to other games on the market.
WoW is highly specialized because it is taking place within the Warcraft universe and because of its unique mechanics. So far, I have argued for nothing that’s actually outlandish. This is all about expanding upon how we can customize one specific character race, using assets that already exist and have existed for years. I’m not pushing for a new mechanic, I’m pushing for an age-old mechanic to be put to use as it should’ve been.
Your point would’ve been a better counterargument if I was trying to argue something like why Spongebob (or any other franchise) characters should appear in Warcraft’s universe officially as in-game NPCs. That would actually be an outlandish thing to ask for.

Yep. Mog needed. Crazy this isn’t a thing yet.

I can even forgive Blizzard for old sets not working on the Dracthyr, but the fact the evoker tier sets don’t show on dragon form is an absolute disgrace. No other race can wear that set so why not put in the little extra time so the Dracthyr can look cool in their own sets.
It’s bad enough we don’t even have Glyphs so the lack of mog is just lazy at this point.

I still hold out hope that one day, my “Visage” can be something OTHER then smelly pointy eared elf.

I really want to be in dragon form, as the race are literally humanoid dragons. But I literally have to play in visage form because of transmog.
Please Blizz make dragon form transmoggable.

I really do hope they do it someday, because I do not plan on maining a different flavor of human or blood elf. It’s not nearly as cool to me, or anyone else that would agree with me.

Yeah honestly the only thing that even remotely turns me off my evoker is the lack of mog in dracthyr form. I absolutely love this class and race but the lack of mog in the primary form really hurts its cool factor, yeah being a dragon in and of itself is cool but not having a form of visual feedback of your progress (such as unlocking your mythic tier set, for example) just straight up isn’t enough. It makes the race as a whole feel unfinished and the barber armors maybe match like 2 mail sets in the entire game and everything else doesn’t even come close to matching in color.
I’d full send this class as my main for the second expansion in a row without looking back if they’d just give us full transmog
