Can we get any updates on when we will see a fix for those affected by transmog being completely unusable after faction change? It’s been a week and we’ve only heard a “can confirm” from a community manager. Please make this a higher priority as it is catastrophic to those affected.

The CS forum isn’t part of the dev team, nor would the blues here pass on any info or make something a priority to the devs. There’s a post about this already, you’d want to keep an eye on it for any updates.

There have been no updates to that since it was posted over a week ago. For all I know they’re not working on this at all. Sue me for needing answers.

Just because there isn’t an update, doesn’t mean they’re not looking into it. They’re not going to post repeatedly saying ‘we’re still looking into it’ as it doesn’t help anything nor make folks settle down.

Saw that if you ALT F4 until you get character not found it will fix the issue temporarily. Not sure if that’s a bug or intentional by the devs.

Doubt its intentional more likely a bug.
I mean it might be a work around to test fixes… who knows, hope that helps though

Post said that if you can force close the game in a way that you get the character not found error on the select screen. It soft resets you character and whatever bad code that broke transmog doesn’t get applied until your next proper log out / log in

so alt f4 and log in real quick till it says not found? but then how do I log in to that character if it’s not found?

The error clears itself after like 15 minutes when the character soft resets to clear the error.
I think it is that soft reset that clears the bad code that breaks transmog. Not 100% sure.

I’ll give it a shot, but man this whole transmog bug has gotta be fixed soon

I’m trying but can’t get “character not found”. is it better to do it in rested areas or not?
No idea, I think you can trigger it during a loading screen, but I’m not sure what triggers it.

Oh well just gotta wait till the last Titan for the fix then.
Got it to work for me, but it broke as soon as I loaded zones.
