this is still not enough

so it will go from around 6000 gold to around 3000 gold. okay, still about 3x what it costs on live servers, and you are upping the slots to 50? at 3000 gold a piece, thats A HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND GOLD JUST TO SAVE EACH SLOT ONCE

this system is still grossly expensive. and i will reiterate my initial question

WHY DOES IT NEED TO COST ANYTHING AT ALL?

sink gold elsewhere, transmog should be free and fun, like the barbershop. if you need to take gold out of the economy, do it at the economy, in the auction house fees or something. players should not have to pinch and save to make use of a basic for fun cosmetics system.

Awesome changes but 160kish for full slots is still too steep. Frankly it should be half of that. A nice 80k for all slots and then we’ll be talking.

I like that you’re continuing to tweak things but I really have to say; Just make Transmogging the pieces free.

You can up those slots all you want and reduce their price (which is great, mind) but 60% less from 5-7 times the amount we had before isn’t going to be enough and this will still make mogging more inconvenient long term or for newer players who haven’t have a chance to work up large sums of gold.

Otherwise though. Good changes.

An outfit that costs me around 960g to change at level 80 on retail woudl cost me around 1720g with this new ssytem.

At lvl90, the new price would be around 3200g to do every slot inlcuding multiple weapons

The way the “slots” is worded makes me think it will cost 160k for 20 slots, then an extra 30 slots that would still bring the total unlocks to 800g….

I really hope the gold drops go up cause this is still more expensive not “free” as was first advertised

I’d really like to see something more like this too!

I agree with the folks saying that this post is a big improvement, and I genuinely love the functionality they’re trying to ad to transmog, but even with this change, we’re still looking at ~2k every time I see a new peice and want to design a temporary transmog around it - which is the way I play the transmog game. That’s still going to be offputting and keep me from playing with mog as much as I do now, which is still a bummer when they’d been hyping cost savings around the new system.

So while testing out the new situations, it’s less about having 20 unique outfits, and more about making full use of the systems they’ve provided.

For example: the new systems allow for you to have an outfit that uses the hoods & Scarves that have been released slowly on the Trading Post.
You can have one outfit with a scarf and your normal outfit, then another outfit with every slot set to “ignore” except the head which has a hood up.
You can then use Situations to say, make it so that your hood goes up when you go outside and comes down when you go inside.

It’s those types of creations that are why limiting to 20 slots and making them so expensive was feeling tiring

Does this mean there is no new beta build this week?

We’re seriously launching housing next week without testing Night Elf and Blood Elf exteriors??

Will they even be included in early access!?

Good changes! Glad to see that the feedback has had an impact.

I didn’t have an issue with cost as I spend way more on random pets from the AH and WQ’s give me 10-20k+ per week minimum. That said, not everyone does WQ’s.

This is all fantastic news however I am hopeful the prices ofd transmog will get another reduction. About 50% of what it’s at now. On a void elf (50% off) I am still paying 1.7k. I think the price should be the same or cheaper than on retail (1.2k max). And honestly 50% reduction of what it is now would STILL be a bit high so maybe ANOTHER 60% from current price and it’ll be better.

Still 2.5k is infinitely better then 6k. But it can still be punishing for experimentation at that price.

Edit: also it’s still not scaled to character level like on retail which means new players will not be able to use the feature at all still. Even 1k is way too much for a brand new player.

Ty for hearing our cries Kaivax, we love you.

It’s good to see that feedback is being listened to and addressed accordingly, thank you for the updates.

Thanks for listening to feedback.

The new transmog UI is really nice, and I would hate for the work put into it to be thought of negatively purely because of the gold costs.

Still too high if we are paying through the nose for slots. That is still 120K for the slots, applying mogs to the slots should pretty much just be free at that point. If you are still planning to double the cost of transmog you need to knock another zero off the cost of those slots. If you want the slots to have a premium price the application fee needs to go away.

Will be interesting to see what the e people pro the original version are gonna be saying

Thank you very much for listening and acting on the feedback, these changes look very good and give me hope! The system itself is amazing, I can’t wait to play with it now after these gold reductions.

Sheathing weapons does not reflect in the transmog window.

Not sure if this is a bug or an oversight.

A step in the right direction, but I wouldn’t prematurely celebrate these changes.

Blizzard’s recent “monkey-paw” design philosophy keep circling back around to bite us. I’m saving any judgment for the next Beta patch release.

Have a good Thanksgiving, folks.

“REDUCED?” No, no, no, the word you’re looking for is “ELIMINATED.” You promised “FREE,” now you need to deliver.

They didn’t. It was poor reporting and miscommunication. Swapping between your saved outfits is what is free.
