Transferring WoW1 to WoW2

So I have this character on WoW1, which also has a 60 boost, and wow2 has shadowlands but nothing on it.

If I send this toon to WoW2 so I can boost the 60 on WoW1 and have a box team with alt tab, do I lose anything at all on the transfer since it is the same bnet account? I assume I don’t but wondering if there is some obscure penalty i am not aware of.

Hope that all makes sense.

No, if you are remaining on the same Battle.net account and just moving between WoW licenses, you’ll continue to have access to the same Battle.net bound collections.

There are some things that happen during a transfer regardless, so I could recommend reviewing that list under: Consequences of a transfer

Your character may be flagged for a name change, but since the name reservation remains with the Battle.net account, you should be able to select the same name, assuming you are remaining on the same realm.

I have a quick question. When I bought WoW TWW epic edition. I selected WoW 1 to test it out and now I am stuck at WoW 1 when all my characters and so on were in WoW 2. I like WoW 2 more and everything was transferred to WoW 1. I like how you guys are really nice in doing that but how can transfer everything back to WoW 2 now or Make WoW 1 WoW 2 again. I just hate the number 1.

Can still transfer between World of Warcraft accounts assuming they are on the same Battle.Net account, but can’t transfer between BNet accounts.

I agree with Darth, please don’t revive old dead threads.

Little confused by this. What specifically did they transfer for you?

All achievements, mounts, pets, transmog, and toys are Battle.net wide so can be accessed by any WoW license.

Are you saying they moved one/all of your characters over? That sounds unlikely. Did you already have all your characters on WoW1 and maybe forget?

If you want to play TWW on WoW2, you can ask for a refund and rebuy it. You need to be within 14 days and not used any game time that came with it, in general. The auto-sysyem likely won’t go through but you can put in a ticket asking.

It has been a few months already. Basically everything was in WoW 2. I tested and bought TWW in WoW 1 and miracles happened! Everything that was in WoW 2 are in WoW1.

I think it will be fun if they make the name editable.

This might just be a misunderstanding, unless you’re also claiming characters from WoW2 were moved to WoW1.

Account-level stuff such as mounts, wardrobe appearances, quest completion milestones are unlocked across all WoW game licenses in that region. Some scant select items can unlock across different regions.

But characters do not just move from one license to the other without utilizing the paid transfer service as a general rule. I won’t say that maybe there was an exception made for some reason, but those are only one-time things and is all-but-guaranteed to not happen again.

maybe. all my characters were on wow 2. after I tested and bought the expansion on wow 1. my wow 2 became starter and wow 1 became the most recent one with all characters and basically just how wow 2 was.

The only way you will be able to play TWW on your WoW2 account is to purchase TWW on that account. They cannot transfer a game license over to a different game account once it has been played and past the time allotted for a possible refund.

Honestly, I think you’re just misremembering something unfortunately. Characters don’t just transfer licenses unless you pay to transfer them. A Support Forum Agent might be able to pop in with some background possibly.

But yeah, characters don’t just move and especially if you never asked them to be.

I plan to do something similar with the characters I created on WoW2 at some point.

At least I know that all accounts, WoW1, WoW2, WoW3 or whatever, share the same collections and account-wide achievements.
