Transferring guild ownership to one of my own charactes

I own a guild and my Shaman Defianttotem is GM. I would like to make my monk Defiantmonk the GM. However, when I try I get an error stating. “Only Bnet friends can be invited from opposite faction”. Can I please have this corrected?

If I understand correctly, your guild’s current GM is Defianttotem, a Zandalari Troll (Horde), and you want to pass leadership to Defiantmonk, a Dwarf (Alliance)?
Unfortunately Blizzard still doesn’t allow this.
Per Horde to Alliance as Guild Master - #8 by Vrakthris the guild is tied to the faction of the GM and you cannot make a character of the opposite faction the new GM.

well that’s dumb

It makes perfect sense if you remember that guild cross-faction was wedged into the existing design of guilds, but they didn’t change the fundamentals: the guild belongs to the guildmaster and its faction is locked into the faction of the GM. They didn’t do a full redesign, so what you ask for is simply impossible.

still dumb
