Say goodbye to the balance on Grobbulus. Horde will now pack bags for Sulfuras.
“Sulfuras is dead. No one is transferring there.”
-It is dead for alliance, not horde. Horde side is booming.

Are they trolling us? They expect people to transfer from realms with 15k+ raiders to a realm with 600?
No queue times on Pagle…
so sit on a que or swap to a dead or less populated realm… sadly ill just sit in the que id rather do that than play on a dead realm. just merge smaller realms or get rid of dead ones and use the extra resources to increase server population size
No one is going to transfer to two dead realms the only way to relieve the problem would be to send them to larger servers that have active players
is this only for one character we have or for all?
I was literally just about to transfer my mage. So frustrating
Please consider the tech for one single megaserver in the future (layering?).
I hear time and time again that the ability to play with friends is important, but haven’t heard any definitive reasoning from blizzard as to why we can’t move past having to have multiple archaic servers.
How many $80 wrath goody purchases do you need from your community before you guys actually come up with a real solution? Was anyone supposed to take this “solution” seriously, or was this just a higher up’s idea for the cheapest possible idea that does absolutely nothing for its playerbase?
I literally just bought game time for an alt to transfer over… How do you make changes like this without any warning?
Sulfuras is dead. No one is transferring there.
Everything! as gul’dan says
I jsut did a few chars.
its even ignoring gold limits. so if you have the level 1 bank alt with several hundred gold its okay.
you can just go to services and spam free transfer.
So really, the server will be closed for a week or two until pre-patch hype dying down causes the queues to go away.
No major or even significant amount of people will transfers, but meanwhile the people like me who just resubbed and were about to transfer off servers with no people (Whitemane Alliance) are just out of luck and wasted our subscription. Since a change was made with no warning preventing me from joining my friends and preparing for the wotlk release.
10/10
Thank you for the reply!
thank you blizzard.
Genuine thank you. this was used and like by some. +4 to blanchy from me. I will even clean up the 2 10’s left when slower for ya. less backup on your end, IT peeps got to stick together.
tried to transfer off Grobbulus but since my character was boosted there I cannot transfer off. Is there any plans to change this? Or does anyone know how long it will take to be able to transfer?
Not trying to be cool. Gonna whine some more?
Whitemane has NO que - not one time has our guild seen a que time to enter.
Half of our guild’s mains are split up between 2 servers due to this lock. Half of us xfer’d in the first 24 hours after pre-patch and they are ported over. Some guild players were waiting on paychecks or other various reasons to xfer from our current realm. Now half of the guild’s mains remain on Sulfuras.
I hope that this will be resolved VERY soon as many players are considering canceling their subscriptions rather than starting over on grinds towards achievements on these mains in prep for WOTLK classic.
I’ve been waiting to transfer to bene - my main’s cooldown was 3 days away from being allowed to transfer. I was HOPING this sort of restriction would have an announcement and some time before absolutely blocking people from being able to play with their friends.
Now I’m forced to either restart a fresh character on bene or play wrath alone until the server unlocks, which may well take months (if we were to use previous lockouts as an example).
This is an absolute trash choice from blizzard, and I’m extremely disappointed by it.
A week or two? Lockouts always last months. Look at the previous examples, they don’t last 2 weeks.
What’s a yatch?
