Trans Women ARE Women

Biological gender plays a much bigger factor in a person’s height…

This includes outliers. Tallest man 8ft11, tallest women 7ft7.

Averages affect outliers, the strongest man is stronger than the strongest woman, the tallest man taller than the tallest woman etc.
An outlying woman may be physiologically superior to an average man, but an outlying man will still be superior physiologically to that woman.

Categories that do require it do have specific classifications for competition, this is not a new thing.

Heck you say all you want, Olympian Caitlyn/Bruce Jenner advocates against trans competition against the same gender, as they a trans athlete understand the biological differences and advantages that being born a male has in sport.

Kind of like that Transwoman that won the NCAA swimming championship. She used to rank like 400 something as a Man but as a Transwomen, she is winning championships. She has wider shoulders than I do lol. 6’1" and in the pictures was towering over all the female competitors, good lord.

Trans women should not be in athletic competitions with genetically born females… that’s one of the very few things I can’t support them on.

If they are the same, and there is no difference (ie, trans = bio), I wonder why there aren’t more sports events where trans-men compete against bio-men.

The last Olympics had a mixed sex relay race event. Every country had their lineup set up for the men to run against the men and the women to run against the women…except for one country. That had to be one of the most embarrassing things I have ever witnessed. Those poor women were being left behind like they were still doing middle school track lol.

Weight class. Like boxing or the non fake wrestling used to do. I’m sure that would work out no?

I actually just watched that… wow… you weren’t kidding. It’s clear they shouldn’t be competing against one another. Not taking away that they’re amazing athletes… but at the end of the day… it’s not really a competition, but if every team is mixed… I guess you can call that fair.

#1. Socially, legally, I agree. Equal rights for all. Period.
#2. Biologically, genetically: no. It simply isn’t so. But I think the IOC is on the right track: determine the fairness of each case per individual, per sport, instead of a blanket rule, because there will always be exceptions at the far end of the Bell curve.

I seriously doubt anyone born female would ever go toe-to-toe with a man in the ring.

Exactly.

I support the trans community but not when it comes to invading women’s sports. Ms. Lia going from #426 ranked man to #1 ranked woman tells you all you need to know. And she was favored to win the 200 and 100 meter so nobody is fooled when she came in 5th for both after blowing every one out of the water in the 500.

Yes, trans have rights but so do women and women should have the right to compete against other women that haven’t been on testosterone for the first 23 years of their life.

Talonel is just a phobe trying to disparage LGBTQ+ people by pretending to be one.

Except they’re not. The vernacular use of the term “woman” refers to a “human female.” Any other use of the term fundamentally changes its definition and when a word can mean anything, it means nothing. If you wish to divorce the term “woman” from biology, then the term is meaningless and the trans community has no reason to demand people use the term when referring to them.

I have a friend who played u18 reps for his city and they played a warm up game against the woman’s national team as they prepared for london 2012. They beat them like 7,1 and some of the women literally cried.
They then went on to finish 4th at the games if I remember correctly.

I respect women’s sport. They should not compete against biological men.

Good job NCAA.

I have said for years and will believe until my dying day:

The Olympics should have a random person in each event just for a control. See these finely trained specimens? Here’s Bob. Bob delivers pizzas and plays wow. Bob will be competing in the 100m dash today.

Sorry to say, no they are not women. That is why actual Women can’t compete in sports against Trans women. Being a woman is not a coat to put on because you don’t like the one you had, the world and life don’t work that way. It certainly will be interesting to see what happens to women’s sports over time.

Trans women can believe they are women all they want but no one can force others to go along with that thought process.

Take note, Men don’t have to deal with this because Trans men still have 40% less physical upper body strength on average and will never get close to touching Men’s sports records.
