Where is the training part of the new “Training Battlegrounds”? I never liked pvp in general or battlegrounds, because its just chaos, your expected to know where to go and what to do, same with these? No tutorial, no help…
The “training” is that they put you in battle against npcs that are fully geared, so you realize you messed up.
Make some friends and ask them for some tips. Watch youtube videos of streamers who play your class. For example, Xaryu’s videos would be good for you to watch as a mage.
Training Grounds does exactly what it is meant to do and it’s honestly great. One of the few good things that midnight has brought to the game. It’s a space to farm honor without having to deal with premade nerds and test out different builds/specs and learn at your own pace without greifing other people.
Idk what people were expecting with this mode, it was always intended to be just a permanent Comp Stomp, and that’s exactly what it is and it’s perfect. What kind of tutorial or help were you expecting? You don’t really get any sort of tutorial in any other aspect of the game. When you enter a raid the game doesn’t walk you thru the mechanics. Why would this be any different?
There is no rush in tg, take ur time to learn ur class and others. It was never meant to teach you every battleground, that’s obvious by the fact only 3 battlegrounds are included in the mode lol.
The fact you have to go to a third party to know how to do a “training mode” shows just how little effort was put in to make these an actual training mode. Once everyone gets their gated quests done for the piece of gear training grounds are going to be giga dead.
No, no it doesn’t lol.
That is not why it’s in the game haha. It’s why you like it.
I think people were expecting a tutorial mode that did what the name implies. Also it’s not really that efficient for farming honor. Maybe if you don’t want to play the game and just AFK it’s fine but idk. I get far more honor doing epics or randoms.
How does training grounds help you learn your class? Right now you are facing giga geared npcs that act like 2 years olds facerolling across the keyboard.
This is quite literally what they are for. Or are Blizzard liars?
I don’t disagree with you. Training mode seems to imply a tutorial. If they would have called it comp stomp, I don’t think we would be having this discussion.
It would be great to have a module that taught when to kick and when not to kick. In fact, that type of tutorial already exists in the catch-up mode thing that is available for toons that haven’t been played in a long time. Having something like that in a pvp setting would be helpful. Some basic info about when to trinket, when to hold it. Whne to swap CDs and which CDs would be appropriate. Maybe something on how to set up kills. Maybe exercises where teams could practice setting up CC chains. But I could see blizz saying that’s what skirmishes are for. But skirmishes don’t have MMR, so new players would likely be demolished and not get any good use out of it.
I’m starting to ramble. Point is, it’s not a tutorial. If they changed the name to comp stomp, we wouldn’t be talking about this.
Yeah, IMO it needs to go back to the way it was with Comp Stomp. Dial back the difficulty so that new players can stop to type questions and get answers and it not be a big deal. This way there are no tutorials popping up for everyone.
