Traditional Flying Coming to the Dragon Isles in Guardians of the Dream

Yikes. The devs really need to explain themselves now. It is getting worse and worse.

Can I presume that if these achievements are completed on various alts, that will satisfy the achievement requirements?

Edit: I’m sort of presuming so, since many people would have earned level 15 Renown on various of the factions, depending on what was important to individual characters.

The dragon is in the details, as they say.

Wait for next expansion. “You’ve had one Pathfinder to unlock DF but what about second Pathfinder?”

The fact that they rather communicate on discord than on their own forums tells me not likely.

Wait, they communicate on discord?

I still have a bit of adventuring to do myself. Im glag they mentioned forbidden Reach, cause I never really did that area. Working on that now.

That’s the unfortunate truth /sigh.

grants traditional flying in many Dragon Isles zones.

Many? Why not all of them?

They take feedback on Discord, sometimes explaining thought processes. But I’m thinking the rogue/dh dev who’s been working on PTR changes, and feedback exclusive to those changes. I don’t know of any dev who communicates to the playerbase in general over design choices that affect the entire game.

I didn’t realize there was a discord they used. Is this stated anywhere, or are these from the “official” class discords, like Hammer of Wrath for pallies

Yes they do.

And it is annoying when they have feedback threads pinned on the PTR and the blue responses happen on discord and not in the feedback thread. Mind boggling decisions at this company lately. As a tester how am I supposed to give proper feedback without knowing what is being communicated back at me as intended game design, being changed, or a bug???

Yea, class discords. Although I believe the CC has a discord where devs communicate (or they did at one point). There’s also a WoW discord (not official) where Bornakk keeps a regular presence, if not very communicative.

It’s just another avenue of communication. Devs take feedback from various sources, sometimes opining in them other times just lurking. Some post their thoughts on X, others don’t – even though I’m sure they all have X accounts.

Not sure why players think the forums should always get every single announcement or comment posted by a dev on the Internet.

Yes, I found this puzzling. I heard that it wasn’t available in Forbidden Reach for reasons which I haven’t figured out yet, if it’s true. Cost saving, maybe?

Interesting. Thanks for the input you two

thats because most discords are actually properly moderated and not full of adult children.

Pathfinder in this expansion feels really spiteful, especially since you can dragonride right off the bat.

Plus, the devs don’t communicate on Discord, we get the odd CM message but that’s once in a blue moon.

Pathfinder has always been a petty way for the development team to get back at the players for the old flying.

Why they continue to do this is beyond me though. It just reeks of hubris.

Not sure if it was already stated but apparently Traditional Flying only works in the Dragon Isles proper.

ZC and the Dream don’t have it.
