Like i said, last I saw on PTR it didn’t work.
Might have changed, might not.
Guess we will see what will actually happens when it goes live.

Honestly if I find out it doesn’t work in ZC or ED, I’m not grinding out the ED rep, I think I’m just letting my sub expire at that point. I only have like a month of gametime left anyway.
What can be said of modern BlizZArd is that they are sleep walking through another expansion without thinking through the human side of the equation of how players engage their content.
They just go through a formulaic script with no emotion.
Sad.
Like seriously, what are the devs worried about?
Us flying 500x slower than dragonriding and beating someone on a dragonriding mount to an herb, while we can’t herb while regular mounted but they can herb while dragonmounted?
They likely said that because they had not seen that it was labeled as a ptr bug. The wow community usually takes the first bit of bad info and is hard to update itself when things are revised later on.
Like the warp stalker mount in tbcc. That was datamined as being 100% riding speed and then people were saying it was p2w for people who could ride it at level 30 (because tbc reduced apprentice from level 40 to 30). But it turns out it was a scaling riding mount that would adjust to your skill level (like retail). But no people didn’t care to know the new info.
I will be curious how the devs manage to justify having significantly different requirements for dragonriding vs. regular flight.
Regular flight should not require any more effort than learning dragonriding or vice versa. Treat both forms of flight the same. My preference is to have both forms of flight enabled on day 1 just like how dragonriding is in DF.
…at one point when the ground was the main option…it was.
Hence, the explosions.
If we’re going to hold on to reputation requirements, I really wish they allowed you to accrue rep doing content we enjoy.
Pet battler? Feed your pet a certain token and the next 5 battles you win applies rep to the faction represented on the token treat you gave your pet.
Dungeon diver? Put on a tabard and get 100 rep for each boss, and 10 for each min while you wear the tabard. Can apply to raid, too.
Open world player? Use the same tabard to allow rep from quests and world quests to apply to the faction on your tabard.
Crafter? Every time you craft an item, instead of vending it, if you sell it to the quartermaster for that faction you get 100 -250 rep. More for reagent-rich crafts.
Want to help others? If you party sync with someone lower level, you can rep a faction and add even more reputation for helping others complete quests.
And folks much smarter and creative than I can think of other means of making this happen.
As someone who vastly prefers dragonriding and would gladly never use the old flying method again, this is so incredibly stupid. Why on earth are you making people jump through hoops to get access to slower flying?
This is not needed. At all.
These are the same people that nerfed Soar so Evokers wouldn’t get to a pet battle faster than other classes.
this is such a monkeys paw wish granted for people who dont like dragonriding, and i fricking love it lol
God i hope this isnt the case.
The only zone we will spend time in going forward is the emerald dream.
If we cant use normal flying there, then there is no real point even adding it…
Wait, what? “many Dragon Isles zones”? How about some clarification here? Exactly which zones won’t have traditional flying?
This just gets worse and worse.
BlizZard is scared that players might find TBC flying.
I wish was joking.
Well I can check off all that list but the new area that is coming out and group to get rep with. Which wont take that long to do.
Oh nooo Evokers will do pet battles and legacy content faster
The worst part is that this week is Blizzcon and for the first time, I don’t feel excited about anything then I’ve this official thread that just remind me their ideas for the game.
It seems we are receiving a lot of bad news today. First the trading post for November and now this.
Bad, bad vibes moving forward.
“Why do we need Pathfinder to fly slower?” is going to be a top question for the upcoming Q&A post.
And it’s also going to be among many of the questions completely ignored by the devs when they put together their response video.
BlizZard is attaching as many poison pills as possible to TBC flying to justify removing it.
We were this close to not have TBC flying in DF. But player feedback saved it as it was not even on the road map that they made. Only confirmation we had was before expansion launch it would be some time in DF.
I have a feeling this question is one of the reasons they’re not taking questions.
Not saying it’s the main reason, just one of them.
