Traditional Flying Coming to the Dragon Isles in Guardians of the Dream

Indeed which is why it is going to be spicy soon enough. Not Taylor Swift x Kelce spicy but right up there.

This might be the official notice of the requirements of Pathfider, but its been in PTR and been leaked unofficially for weeks now. Its been talked about a lot of the forums back and forth by not a real large group, but more of the same I say maybe 30 to 40 posters at most back n forth that whole time in really huge topics each day. But it was pretty much just the same smaller group of people in those post yelling back and forth at each other.

Now to see a much larger group of players say something, now that its official and like just before release of the patch, now just 6 days away. I am just where was all this anger and feed back all these weeks that may have effected the over all choice…

That makes no sense because things can change within hours of launch.

BlizZard in fact is known to make changes without broadcasting changes when launching with a patch.

Everyone in here who disagrees with Pathfinder should post in the Q&A thread they are supposedly going to take questions from asking why they continue with this pettiness, if enough do it, and they ignore it, will lead to hopefully some more bad PR for them.

The entire foundation of patchfinder is built on lies. “Explore on the ground first”…well that apparently doesn’t apply with the DF expansion.

Honestly it didn’t matter in previous expansions either. Gliders, flight whistles, avianna’s feather…all lies from BlizZard.

And now they have run out of lies and the deck of cards is coming crashing down.

The truth is out.

Because they don’t feel the need to respond. They laid out what the requirements are. This isn’t news to anyone who’s been paying attention to the PTR. It’s not going to change a week before it launches.

lol.
this was supposed to be a joyous occasion?
We were given dragonriding DAY ONE of release…and now PF that was SUPPOSEDLY about ground exploration that DIDNT HAPPEN this time thanks to dragonriding on day one…is literally affecting only those players who had a hard time with dragonriding…that you KNOW is an issue because settings were added specifically to help with some of the issues players were having.

I had very little respect for the game makers after hitting WoD content. It was great up thru Mists.
Legion helped some.

But this garbage…Im sorry but Ion is over the line this time.
Making a handful of lesser abled players do what WE DIDNT HAVE to do to get flight…AFTER all these months?

I got NO respect for this company at this point over this.
Talked to the wife earlier. We’re done. We wont spend another dime on expansions or extras for this game ever again until leadership who makes these horrible decisions is gone.
I’ll play the content I get free with a sub.
No more boosts. No store items. Blizzard gets my $15 a month after this crap. Not a dime more.

Nothing is going to change until the ego isnt running the show anymore.

Apparently people were playing the content incorrectly.

So… over the years, I’ve probably been the most vocal critic of Pathfinder on these forums.

Mostly on my (retired) Druid. Here’s a link to my Pathfinder post history for anyone with time to kill:
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/search?q=pathfinder%20%40Tewa-hyjal%20order%3Alikes
And then more on the old forums before that. :headstone:

Having established that… I think complaints about the current situation are misplaced.

The biggest problem with Pathfinder was always that it didn’t let you fly. It gave you an I.O.U. for flying a year later. Since we’ve been flying in Dragonflight since day 1, that issue is out of the way.

And as for the Pathfinder requirements themselves, this time… they’re trivial. Imagine if they’d had requirements like The Ohn’ahran Trail achievement as well. That would be some actual hardship. Doing the stories and getting rep that most of us had the first couple weeks of the expansion is a cakewalk. :birthday:

(Also, I continue to believe that the reason for the 1-year-delay this time is because they don’t want to hear people whining about how slow traditional flying is. Incoming “flying needs a speed boost!” forum spam in 3… 2… 1… )

Blizz will never change! @devs please change my mind! Action > word!

You were so close! God damnit!

I’d be very upset if they made traditional flying faster. Then I’d get sick from both forms of flying. Since the speed is my only issue with dragonriding. I don’t get motion sickness if the dragon is slow, but then it doesn’t stay in the air…

There are ways around motion sickness. It’s why so many of us get motion sickness riding in a car but not while driving a car.

While I was zipping around dragon isles last night doing candy buckets, I was thinking about what people could do to fix their UI and resolve this. Things like moving the vigor bubbles to be right on top of your character (as I do) or even just focusing on the wind tunnel effect when bluestreaking and ignoring the peripheral vision.

If you focus your eyes on the center of the wind tunnel… it’s just a spell effect. Like so many other spell effects in that game that don’t make people motion sick.

I have to wonder how stupid our mounts are since we have to relearn how to fly every 2 to 2 1/2 years. WOW mounts must be the dumbest creatures in the game …

Are bogus.

If dragon flying is superior, it shouldnt be free. Old flying should be free. It isnt free because you KNOW you will no longer be able to hide the fact so many people hate the new flying.

I will not rep grind, the expansion is boring and the only way you could have gotten me to stick around to play it was with old school flying. As is, I will catch up on the expansions I missed these last 10 years and then move on. I could not even bring myself to finish the first zone of DF. Bad choices keeps costing you subscribers.

The mounts arent relearning…we are.

Noticed you didn’t reply to my post in the other thread, but you still wanna keep telling people how trivial these requirements are (if so trivial, why even have them?)

You just said it would be fine if the only challenge to unlocking the full potential of dragon riding was reading a Wowhead guide for the location of 20-30 dragon riding glyphs that you need base dragon riding to acquire, but spread out over 2-3 weeks.

While simultaneously telling people who may not have been playing as much as you this expansion that they have to grind rep for over a month, do the entire main storyline, and explore every zone completely, and they should shut up and be happy about it.

Just because the rep grind only took you two weeks doesn’t mean it takes everyone two weeks. Most people don’t spend as much time as you do playing this game, and even if they do, they probably don’t care about grinding rep the entire time.

15 renown is not rep grinding.

Exalted in Warsong Gulch? That’s grinding.

Exalted Champion of the Horde/Alliance? That’s grinding.

15 rep?

Because you don’t have discussions with people, you talk AT them instead of WITH them.
