Why are you so worried about what I want it for?
Herp derp. I worked for it once I learned the requirements.

I’ve had all those at 15 beside the new content one, months ago.
Are you a significant number of people typing under one character name?
Well, Simplyred’s comment implied that the majority of the players haven’t done it already. I’m just doubting that. I don’t even play that much and I’ve had all of old content for months.
And beside, if you haven’t done any of it, can it be considered old content for you?
Isn’t this update, lacking those changes that you want, addressing it by not changing it? What do you want them to say? Tough luck? They did address the concerns though. They are planning a change to DR to accommodate those with motion sickness and the like.
hahahahahaha…the only questions in the QA will be so softball it be like toddler t-ball league.
They always are.
I haven’t, so I guess that cancels it out.
Well, it wouldn’t be if most of it wasn’t just doing repeated things (dailies, events). I’ve done all of the quest lines (I think) and I’m not at 10.
Even still, it’s just a silly requirement. I personally don’t think it’s that big of a deal, but the question remains – why even have it? It’s objectively a downgrade on the speed of a mode of transport, not unlocking the Z axis like other Pathfinders. And I have to say I don’t really understand why people are defending it. We’re not getting free loot, not nerfing a boss, it’s just… being able to use a flying we’ve had for 15+ years in a zone where we already have a way to fly.
SL renown was awful, at least the first time around, and before they made any adjustments to the system.
Once you got the first faction maxed, the others were insanely fast to grind through, but that was toward the end of the expansion and after some changes long after the damage had already been done.
DR renown has been much better overall, at least in my opinion. Not perfect, but not god awful like SL renown was.
Yeah it is. I’m guessing it’s to keep the pathfinder ball rolling. Like if they weren’t keeping it, could you imagine the rage when the next expansion sees it back?
Excuse me? How about make it only requires the first four? Not many people will grind for these latter two, ya know.
You can reach 15 with Dream Wardens on the first week, with some knowledge and preparation.
Thank you, thank you!

Can I have a snack? or is it locked behind pathfinder like flying?
I don’t even plan to use slow flying, I wish we could use Dragonflying in old world content, and the thought of grinding out another 15 levels of rep with a brand new faction to get a flight downgrade just like…actively saps all the energy from my limbs and makes me want to go take a nap.
I burned out on the grind by the end of Time Rifts. I haven’t done a single dream whatever, I never managed to figure out what I was supposed to be doing even. All the open world content grinds that I used to love got turned to ash when the developers decided that open world content needed to be group content for some arbitrary reason, turning everything into a mad nolife dash to complete and collect and max out everything in a frantic rush before people moved on to the next hasty slapped-on patch.
I don’t get why a flight downgrade is being treated like something that should be a privilege. I don’t get why the cadence of patch releases was so fast when now there’s going to be nothing until the next expansion launches. I don’t get why having open world content scale down to as many people were engaging with it even if that number was “one” was a cardinal sin. All of that has really taken the wind out of the sails of my preferred playstyle, the casual zen grinder who goes at my own pace.
I can’t see this doing anything good for the game’s retention rates.
You are the snack.
Yes you can have a snack.
However, you’ve forgotten how your mouth works and must complete several dozen tasks before using it again…
Pathfinder has been a poor excuse to time-gate flying from players to begin with, but especially so in DF, this just feels pointless and actively malicious at this point.
We have had a version of flying since day 1 of this expansion. One that the expansion sold as a feature. One that you, Blizz, have been made aware is incredibly difficult for people with various disabilities to actually partake in or utilize.
And that’s just people with actual physical difficulties with it; this isn’t even regarding folks like me, who can do Dragonriding and mostly enjoy it, but are incredibly tired of and over the gimmick, and want to use our stable of mounts with old flying in all its slowness and hoverability.
Locking flying behind a Pathfinder, when a version of flight has already been here since day 1 and sold as an expansion feature, is just ridiculous.
And no, I don’t care what nonsense the anti-old flight/Dragonriding cultists want to argue against anything I’ve said. I’ve seen it all multiple times across every single thread asking for old flying/addressing the issues with Dragonriding for disabled folks, and none of it is worth responding to when it’s clear you guys want to win arguments, not have discussions.
Is… is that a good thing or…?
I’m not disabled.
I hate DR because everything about it is a nuisance.
That bouncing jump to get started all the way up to the short life rechargeable battery nonsense.
btw, I do have all the requirements for PF, except for all the new zones, done already.
How long it takes to get the remaining parts done when the patch drops is going to be a huge source of contention.
We don’t know if it will be 1 day or 8 months.
I’m just giving up for now.
My subs run out in few days. I’ll check back in a year or two and see if anything has changed for the better.
No wonder I’ve been so hungry, I forgot how to eat! For the fifth… sixth… uh… how many times now have I forgotten how to eat?
