That seems reasonable to me.
Dragonflight is supposed to be an olive branch away from systemlands which forced players to play a certain way.
But it seems DF is going to have the same fate as the previous expansion at this pace or it seems that way!

people who did nothing but pvp would not have had any reason whatsoever to grind renown with these factions.
you could be a gladiator/2400 player and be at 0 renown because the renown was nothing but crafting and cosmetic stuff.
there was absolutely zero reason that anyone who didn’t craft and didn’t care about the (poorly designed cosmetics) to even bother trying to grind renown…
why would we need renown?
the only reason we would have done renown would have been to get ready for the eventual pathfinder, which is not a good reason to grind renown.

Why.
I will literally never use normal flying on the Dragon Isles. Dragon Riding is superior in every fathomable way to me. There are people who disagree with me. Why can’t they just take their slow, normal flying, rather than doing this achievement and jumping through hoops? Pathfinder is so lame and has been lame since it’s introduction in WoD.
It is well past time to get rid of it and just let people experience the game the way they want to.

They never said they didn’t have 15 rep in each faction, read it again.
They would have said “I don’t have 15 rep.”
There are countless topics both here and on other social media platforms about people being unable to do DF content well or with the ease that Dragonriding was meant to have them be done at. Why are you so eager to try and downplay this? My partner has to ride second on my dragon because they’re unable to do it themselves due to motion sickness from some of the effects used.

here’s a new plan… since dragon riding is so obivously the superior flying, why not just give us normal flying on expansion release then time gate dragon riding behind 18 months and max rep with every faction?

I couldn’t stand the cavern at all so I chose not to do that after 1 day. Now I am gritting my teeth and forcing myself to go do it and even with the hallows rep boost it’s taken 2 weeks to get to 15. And honestly making me hate the game and not want to log in at all. I haven’t felt that way this entire expansion. Not since the sh*t show of shadowlands.
Glad you have no issue with this requirement, goodie for you.
But not everyone did every area for … Reasons … Whether you agree with those reasons or not. This requirement does nothing for making us WANT to play that content. In fact if anything it’s making me and others want to not log in.

This is SO true for me. I have alts at 70 who don’t even have the zone unlocked because I dislike it so much. As for you, I have forced myself to go there and do stuff to get the blased Niffen rep to 15…all to be able to use a preferred method of flight which lets me use all my beloved normal flying mounts.

i absolutely loathed zaralek caverns… it was boring, nothing to do, the only mount rare there has a four day lockout, all the other rares drop nothing but drake crests.
also, it was a pain going there all the time.
im an engineer, so i always had an engi portal to get there… but hey, guess what? 99% of the time i used my engi portal, it would put me inside a cave, so i’d have to walk through it, kill a bunch of mobs before i could mount up.
the only reason i bothered with zaralek caverns is because i do pve content and needed the shadowflame sparks to make crafted gear.
if there were no sparks from every loam nifflen weekly, i would never have gone down there.

So explore the new zone and renown 15 for the new faction. Nothing new was added.

yeah but i dont want to do 15 renown with the new faction… i already slaved away getting max renown with the other factions for absolutely no reason…
just remove the renown requirement.
traditionally pathfinder required reps to be at revered… going from neutral to revered is 21,000 rep.
going from renown 1 to renown 15 (2500 rep each) is 37,500 rep.
going from neutral to exalted is 42,000… so the new “RENOWN” requirement is more like going to exalted, which no pathfinder in the past has ever required.
if you INSIST on making us grind rep… put it at like 7 renown, which is 17,500 rep.

Way to miss the point Blizzard. It doesn’t matter how easy or how time consuming pathfinder is or isn’t, it shouldn’t exist.

i am so tired of having fun at the end of an expansion and then starting a new expansion and it feeling like a boring chore, which is why i usually quit the beginning of expansions until after we can fly (although i quit wod and bfa altogether and legit didnt play those at all)
last two seasons of shadowlands? so much fun…
first season of dragonflight, awful boring chore.
