Well, you are up to 13 in this thread alone.
So you completely ignored the volumes of feedback you’ve gotten from players who absolutely hated this idea.
In other words, a normal day from Blizzard.
Weird that we have to explore Zaralek Caverns and Emerald Dream, but not Dragon Isles for the Pathfinder. How about to replace Freshscales Fifteen with Explore the Dragon Isles. The Renown requirement is asinine.
Yeah, that’s because I was talking about the 12 month sub and other stuff.
Yeah, you seem more involved with this thread than the people that actually do care.
Strange.
Cant tell you how much I love it when people spout this generalisation. (/S)
Let’s assume a few things:
-
That not everyone was able to play ‘with any regularity’. Me, for example: I had knee replacement surgery in November last year, just as the expac launched. I was in hospital with issues from it and then wasnt able to sit in front of a computer for more than a few minutes for quite some time. So I fell behind in that early stage of the game. And I had health issues during the year which again meant my playing time was limited.
-
I did not grind Renown on every faction because I didn’t believe I needed that higher Renown on every faction. I mostly concentrated on doing what I could on the few that helped me with the rewards.
-
Admittedly, I didn’t realise that doing certain things each week helped boost Renown (like the Niffen Weekly etc).
So I’ve spent the last month ensuring that I had at least 15 on all the current factions, and will hopefully hit 15 today on the last one, the Loam Niffen, which was the slowest for me as it was the lowest.
A newer player would have the same sort of catching up to do but, of course, new players don’t count in the scheme of things.
None of this should be necessary to get to be able to use a slower, older form of flight in “many” of the DF zones. It’s just Blizzard being Blizztard again.
Wasn’t liked then as well
In the time it took you to write this novel you could be at 15 rep with three factions.
Please don’t tell me you actually counted her/his posts in this thread lol.
It’s on the top of the thread. You new?
I didn’t have 15 rep with all those factions. Not because I wasn’t playing the game, but because I wasn’t playing the game their way. I did dungeons. I did other stuff. But the faction rewards weren’t enough for me to bother grinding out those reps, so I didn’t bother.
Oh, but suddenly we need 15 rep to have regular flying.
Would have been nice if they told us this at the beginning.
We have known for a good while now.
Getting renown 15 is incredibly quick.
Did you not grind it because you didn’t think you needed it or because your were rendered physically unable to? I don’t see why you’d follow up “unable to be a PC” with “well nobody told me I had to do world quests!”.
I don’t really pay attention.
But cool, I learned something new today! Thanks.
why do you want regular flying if you don’t engage with the world?
Wait, it isn’t even true.
Here is your main:
Dragonscale Expedition Renown 17 • 1841 / 2500
Maruuk Centaur Renown 15 • 977 / 2500
Iskaara Tuskarr Renown 15 • 2043 / 2500
Valdrakken Accord Renown 24 • 1380 / 2500
Loamm Niffen Renown 15 • 517 / 2500
Why are you pretending you’ve been blindsided and didn’t have any rep?
The same thing could be asked about dragonriding. I don’t engage with the world but they just gave me dragonriding for nothing lol.
I mean I did not believe I needed it personally as in, in my case. And we did not know it a long time ago, it was only when it was discovered on the PTR during 10.2 testing, and later confirmed by Blizzard. When that was discovered I began to work on the ones that were not 15 as and when I could. I’m not going to explain myself or my personal issues to you, I believe I gave my thoughts clearly enough. You dont agree with me, that’s fine. You are entitled to be wrong.
My ability to do world content is hampered by dragonriding and zone design. I’ve slowly gotten there since they announced the requirements, but I think Blizzard is very wrong to have these requirements when you could get dragonriding for free and fly over their precious world content from day 1. The zones are poorly designed for a ground mount, and using dragonriding for more than a few seconds at a time makes me very nauseous - once the mount speeds up I get sick, but I can’t maintain it in the air at a comfortable speed due to the way dragonriding is designed. So I want to do more world content, but I can’t until i get normal flying.
Pathfinder only works if the requirements for unlocking it are known on Day 1 of an expansion launch. Legion did this to an extent, they just made land mount speed faster for all your alts and you theoretically could unlock parts of it right away. They also had a flight master’s whistle which I thought was a great idea but they never did anything with it outside of Legion which was stupid.
Where the Legion version of Pathfinding FAILED was that they waited until Tomb of Sargeras patch to finally make the “part 2” of it where flying unlocked but the LAUNDRY LIST of crap you had to do was insulting–even to people who played regularly. If I recall, they also removed a bunch of stuff that was orignally in it but left the stupid Revered with Armies of Legionfall requirement in and the weeklies that Khadgar gave out were literally trolling “chores.”
Oh and then Argus came out …and surprise!!! no flying there.
This team needs to get OFF their hill about flying and start developing around it being central to the game like i THOUGHT they were doing in DF. They know that players HATE this stingy-mommy syndrome about flying. It’s time to quit being a stingy mommy and start innovating.
I have 13 alts and plenty of hours played in things that do not give rep. I do not have any character at 15 renown in anything except Valdrakken.
To hear people say “omg, just play the game” is ridiculous.
I don’t particularly care much about the requirements for this achievement, I just think it’s incredibly stupid.
The irony of the use “entitled” right there reeks.
