I originally posted this on the EU forums as it pertains to my EU license but I’ve gotten no response after 12hr. Hoping someone here can shed some light on my issue.
“So..I’m having an issue with freezing an item on the Trading Post. It’s empty, so there’s no item there to override, it just gives me an error message saying the Trading Post was experiencing issues, try again later. If I exit the Trading Post, the item that I had tried freezing poofs.
I tried moving my WTF/Interface out and deleting the Cache (because I know this can be an addon issue!). No bueno.
My connection is stable, even wired to my modem on my laptop.
Tried two different characters (Tashiae-Argent Dawn and Mìdnyte-Argent Dawn). Still doing it.
Maybe my ping is too high? I sit at 160ish because I am originally NA playing around on my EU license, which has gametime on it.”
May not help, but have you tried visiting the Trading Post in other cities? There’s the one in the faction capitals as well as the new Silvermoon. Unsure if the one in Dorongal is still there or not but you could go check.
I’ll have to try Dornogol, I do not have Midnight on my EU license yet (really I just play around on it). I’ve tried Orgrimmar and Stormwind both, nada.
I have a sneaking feeling it has to do with my ping. I sit at 160ish connecting to Argent Dawn EU. Can’t get it lower unless I use a VPN I believe. I didn’t have this issue before because I saved the hedgehog mount, thinking I couldn’t buy it yet then I put a sub on my EU license and was able to finish my traders log. I used to save alot of stuff on the Post because without a sub, you only get 500 tenders.

edit: I will try Dornogol as soon as I get my EU pally to TWW stuff. Shes currently like lvl 66. Hopefully that one stops the error.
Yep! I main my NA license, just play around on an EU one under this bnet because I like breaks from current stuffs. Also, really didn’t want to mess with the freeze option on my NA license because I have an item from a previous month that I really wanted and I’d lose it till it eventually returns

I’m having the same issue. When I attempt to freeze an item I get “Trading post is having difficulty communicating with servers”. This happens in multiple different trading post cities. It’s been happening for two days for me, so looks like I wont be freezing one of the returning mounts I cannot afford unless it’s fixed before May.
Jumping in to say I’m having the exact same issue. Can buy/refund items fine but can’t freeze anything; been happening for the last few days. Same “difficulty communicating with servers” message.
Issue is across realms, characters, and Trading Post locations.
Same issue here. Unfortunately I can’t freeze the vine mount now because of this, super lame. Found out right at the last minute because I usually wait for the last couple days to actually buy anything, and I was experiencing the issue yesterday and just figured it was general server issues that’d get resolved a couple hours later or so.
I was just able to freeze an item (didn’t try before we flipped into the new month, so not even the same, I get that), but now I cannot purchase anything else. I have some tender, went to purchase a 50 tender item, and it said unpurchasable.
Waited 5 minutes or so, tried again, and it worked and I was able to purchase the item. However, my frozen item is now gone and the box is empty. Off for a UI reset and bug report forum I guess.
Exact same issue on my end, it places the item into the frozen slot, but there’s no prompt to confirm and the ‘can’t communicate with server’ icon appears. Unable to buy anything until I close and reopen the TP, at which point my item has reset.
