Same, if nothings up that I’m after that month save it or when something better comes around also freeze what you may want just in case.
The trading post was a good concept but since there is no way you can get everything like you could with a battle pass, it sucks really bad.
It would be better if there were 4 times as many activities you could do to gain Trader Tender and at least give us enough Trader’s Tender to afford the pets, mounts and at least half of the other items. Work harder and get more!
Besides, with more to do and more to be able to collect, it’d keep us engaged with the game more as well.
Sure everything could get cycled back in once in a while but I’d rather they add more new stuff than cycle old stuff. Again like a battle pass. Battle Passes normally don’t see things cycled back in. Cycling items back in is not what brings us back or keeps us playing.
Speaking of buying the Traders Tender with real money, I sure as hell hope they do this. Like a battle pass you get free stuff by doing things within the game and you pay real money to get even more items. Buying the Traders Tender would be the same thing in a way. Please Blizzard allow us to buy them, because we sure will! Yes there are those that will not and like the cash shop they can choose not too, it’ll be their loss.
The way it is now, there are way too many items that I want but I have to skip most of them or the expensive ones, just so I can save some for the next month in case there is something I want more.
So as it is now the Trade Post really Sucks!
I feel you. I know I see greedy boogymen whenever it comes to modern gaming companies, but like … there are real reasons for that.
I mean considering how Overwatch 2 turned out. Yikes. >.<
So yeah, I don’t have much faith in Blizzard just doing something solely for the good / fun of the player anymore.
This sounds about right, yep. I didn’t think of that, but that’s an intelligent guess. I shall share in your brand of tin foil hat for this one.
I find it frustrating there are SOOOO many ways to collected tendies, but most of the list is obsolete once you hit cap it ends up being a list of mostly ignored activities instead if say, a fun event you can plan guild activity around (and still expect attendance all month, cause it will be worthwhile to those who would have previously capped).
I buy the mounts 95% of the time, hence where my tenders go almost every month, for those questioning how people can use all of their tenders each month. I want mounts…sometimes pets although not as much, and occasionally I like a mog or two, but not often. Easy to blow through tenders getting mounts…and I have no problem with it, it’s free money/mounts for doing things I’m already going to be doing. /shrug
Or just let people buy and sell tenders on the AH at a set price, I would think 20 gold = 1 tender should be ok.
So true! I also buy the mounts and the pets each time if I don’t already have them. But then can not get much of anything else and only get to save maybe up to 500 but normally around 100 to 300. So those saying how we don’t have many, just don’t care about the mounts and pets. As the mount and pets tend to be the most expensive items on the Trading Post.
Hah.
As if we all freaking knew it was coming, they’re selling tenders now. Just like we all thought.
Welp, they managed to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory yet again.
Yes ands it’s about damn time too! They should have added them to the cash shop when they added the Trading Post to the game. Too bad it’s just for 200 Traders Tender. They need to add more now with different sized packages.
Part of the point is to get people out and doing things they may not have done in places they may not usually go.
But you do you, m’dear!
Optimally its intention would be to give a reason to keep doing things you are already doing, but the rewards have dropped off for.
Like say, they could adjust it to give a reason to reclear raids or do pugs with people who haven’t cleared the raid yet.
Making people do things they explicitly are avoiding is how you breed distrust. Like, I can tell you so far trading post has gone inverse with me and made me double down on not doing DF things since it’s baiting to do things that feel very bad.
Sorry, let me post on the toon I currently play on…
Let me clarify…
The Great Vault already serves the purpose of trying to get people to do parts of the themepark they don’t touch.
It does that for people who aren’t vehemently against DF.
There are plenty of tasks to do, so this shouldn’t be a thing.
Honestly? I’m not even sure why you still play this game if this is how you feel. I’m not saying that to be dismissive or anything, I just feel like you’re very bitter and would be happier in another game. I don’t want to see you so unhappy and stubborn against things because of it. Have you tried some of the other MMORPGs to see if you like them any better? A bit of fresh gaming may help.
I know what I want and why I avoid things, it’s why I’m very focused on the things that I avoid. It feels like I have to shout over trolls who gatekeep or mischaracterize on purpose for sociopathic fun on the forums to get that point across.
I’ve been preferring solo grinds in legion/bfa/sl content over DF all this year explicitly due to systems trying to make me “go through” people over timegate stuff, that is past my limit and cannot be baited with extra rewards. Yes I will do group content, but not over how it’s currently done.
To summarize even more succinctly, I was enjoying DF at one point, but got moved off. Albeit people keep gatekeeping and mischaracterizing and taking for a spin that point, which is what drives me to repeat this.
The feedback is directed at the devs so they can see what someone like me has limits or tastes for.
Post is totally cosmetic. Buying tender is no different than buying items in the shop. And guess what. Some of the post items are also in the shop at times. There’s nothing wrong with getting more via money.
The trading post implementation is great in my opinion. I get to play the game and get passive extra rewards that I can prioritize by what I like most. I have bought every item I wanted from the trading post and still have thousands of points. DF is by far the best xpac in WoW. Keep up the good work!
I wish I could just straight up buy tendies without the buy a corsage reach around. I also wish the shop had actual decent stuff to buy so a potential whale like myself could earn Bob another yacht.
The price is fine, what’s not fine is this “half-set” thing they’ve been doing. It’s driving me up a damn wall. Give me a full armor set.
I agree that they need to loosen up the tasks a bit more and add more things you can do.
I think this is all I did this month. The 25 dungeon bosses, 30 quests, Aldor/Scryer exalted rep, the Warlock questline completion, 15 pet battles and I did do 2 things in DF, making crests and the Little Scales Daycare daily. I also got credit for finishing the questline even though I don’t think I have.
The “do 30 quests” and “obtain rep” and “do dungeons” quests are experience and/or DF locked. Otherwise I would have completed them.
Anyways, going back to feedback I want to give, I want to do said latest content, but I find myself doing other things solo because it feels not worth it to get into / deal with over due to the systems/timegates.
