Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur $90.00 Ripoff!

I do agree with your assertion. But they need to have limits. $90.00 for a virtual toy is wayyyyy tooo much! It’s similar to going to a diner and ordering a ham sandwich and being told by the cashier that it will cost you $90.00! Say What?!

Just look at prices of Netflix and other streamer services now …many are now at almost $25 dollars a month now…and started out at 4.99 years back…

its $144 NZD, genuinely absurd lol

That is the exchange issue now not Blizzard…they don’t control exchange rate now…your 144 auz is 95 dollars American now…its pretty much same price we are paying in the US

Guess you just aren’t getting that ham sandwich then? Might wanna go with the turkey, choice is a wonderful thing. You can choose whether or not to purchase something if you find it absurdly priced… I’m not buying it, just don’t see the fuss in others getting it.

I don’t think that many Welsh play WoW.

While I agree it’s pretty steep (imo $60 would have been fair) it’s still not outlandish.
You take into account the exclusivity of the original AND the price. $90 is nothing.

I think about the time some of my friends put in grinding the gold for it.
Meanwhile. I can just drop $90, which is a few hours of irl work, skip all the nonsense.

I also look at it like all the people who don’t have time and didn’t have time to grind it out in bfa, myself included. $90 is a very small price to pay for the feels as well as the use it will give.
Again, I still think it’s a bit much. But in the end, it’s nothing for what you’ll get out of it. It’s a solid investment.

I mean you can spend more than that on a nice dinner out. And poof that money is gone forever. The mount will be there until the servers go offline

At the current going rate of how much the tokens are now…where you can put them to make up $90 on your bnet balance is heck of lot damn cheaper then when folks like me dropped 5 million for the one out of BfA…basically this new one is costing about 2 million in gold if you use gold to buy it right now.

Why do you care? you dont want it and are not buying it. Who cares? See me going off ever about rent Prices in NYC? No I dont live in NY I dont care

You keep saying the same thing. So its sounding more and more like you BADLY want it and are mad you cant afford it

To you. $90 is nothing to you.

To me, its $120, because thats what it would cost me where I live. And before anyone says exchange rate, I would be paying it with my money, not with yours.

That is more than the cost of entire expansion. For one mount.

People will say its a choice, don’t buy it if you don’t like it, etc. The issue isn’t choice, the issue is that it’s being done this way at all. If this is how WoW is going, this ever-increasing amount of things we are being asked to pay for…a few years ago, this sort of thing would have outraged the community but now its just shrug and move on.

I have to wonder how bad it has to get before anyone finds it troublesome. I dunno, maybe if they put high level gear in the store that would be a tip over. Then, again, maybe not. You wouldn’t have to buy it, right?

Yeah, well. With runaway inflation in the real world wrecking peoples ability to survive. We don’t need corporate greed in our beloved game, wrecking that for us too.

It’s not nothing to me.
How to take a quote out of context and twist it.

Context matters

Are we explaining subjectiveness?

It’s literally a ‘to each their own’ kind of thing.
Put it on a credit card if you want it so bad. Idk what to tell you.

Inflation exists. And for all we know, this is paying for the development of another xpac. You don’t know what the money is going towards.

And you don’t know how the community feels about this. The vast majority don’t speak their opinions.
Clearly the community was pretty accepting considering how many store mounts we saw in cata and blizz just kept adding them.

It’s a game. It’s not that serious.

And this isn’t a FTP game. I think them putting actual gear on the store is one of the last things we should worry about.
That discourages people from gear grinding and using their sub.
Which is why ftp models do that, since they don’t have a sub fee.

They are called “gatcha” games for a reason. Wow’s “gotcha” is the sub fee. High ilvl gear would defeat the purpose and counteract a sub fee.

I’d agree, but this thing is optional. Just like eating out.

If you are short on cash, you shouldn’t be paying a sub fee let alone going out to eat.

I think the big picture yall are missing is if it was an actual problem. People wouldn’t be touching these things. But they are. And not in small numbers either.

Which begs the question, is it a real problem or is gd doing gd things and making mountains out of mole hills trying to speak for the majority?

This person obviously wants the mount badly but cant afford it. They are soo dead focused on that price tag

Im half tempted to buy it for them so they can chill

I think they are more upset over the exchange rate. Like anyone here, including blizzard, can control that.

Wow has been around for 20 years because people love it. But because of many changes over the years. Players started to drift away. Lately Wow has been bleeding subs. If bliz continues this inflate prices for junk in the shop. It may not survive. People will just walk away in droves. Addiction to Wow will not save the game at this point.

Up until the end of SL, yes. But beyond that, we do not know.
If the leaked charts can be trusted, it would be the complete opposite.

But that’s exactly why I don’t doomspeak. I look at who’s playing and what they are doing while playing.

(Fyi stealing this video)
But this doesn’t look like bleeding subs or a failed promotion to me.

Can we get old gladiator mounts and illusions in the cash shop too?

You don’t know what a gacha game is.

There is a brightside. Now if you need an ah mount or mailbox, the person next to you definitely prob has it now.
