There is an idea. Make a shark mount, for $120, that swims super fast in the water, and if you run into a player just swimming in the water it will bite them and thrash them around and spit them out.
Just go to the ah after you done collecting. There just saved $90.00! See the bruto mount ain’t needed by anybody. Oh yeah, don’t forget the holidays are close. Instead of throwing your money away on useless junk, save it to buy a loved one something nice.
One thing I don’t get. This Brutosaur mount is priced at $90.00 and can’t fly, while the Warcraft 30th Anniversary Mount Bundle is priced at $30.00 and comes with 8 different mounts that can fly. What’s the rational to this?
its literally because of the demand for the AH mount from players.
If we were demanding a bundle with 8 flying mounts for 5 years Its quite possible the price would have been higher…“what the market will bear”…because bliz would have figured we’d pay more than 30 bucks.
The screeching for a new AH mount is what made them know they could get 90 bucks for it.
That said…what makes ME giggle out loud is the persistent defense on this forum for the $60 boost price, which is ABSURD now that we can level so fast.
The usual trash argument is “the high cost is to keep it from being used so much”
yet the same clowns using THAT crap logic dont seem to be able to add 2 and 2 to use it for THIS bruto mount that WE KNOW blizzard DIDNT WANT seeing all over the game and so DID limit the first one very quickly after it was released.
This forum is HYSTERICAL with double speak, lmao…in one breath the cost is so high to keep it controlled with NO effort on blizzards part to actually limit boosts…then they cant seem to figure out how blizzard MIGHT actually have gone with a 90 buck Bruto price literally to ‘control’ its numbers where we KNOW they DID make comments about wanting to keep AH mounts controlled in numbers.
lmao…this forum…lol…cant keep a consistent thought process going from one day to the next lol
It has zero to do with NEED, but sure has a lot to do with WANT. I wanted it, so I got it. I have a use for it, and already earned back the gold I spent on it. Meaning its all gravy now. $90 is nothing for something I want in life.
The rational to this is, I got both packages. Paid for by in game gold which I already made back.
I was asking what Blizzard’s marketing rational was. Not the players.
Just cropping it to the relevant parts. Blizzard doesn’t want to reach as many people with the Brutosaur mount. They want to reach as many people as possible with the anniversary mounts.
The business end of rational to this is, that the other AH mount went for limited time only for 5 million gold. This one is limited time and is only 1.2 or 1.5 million gold or $90. The AH mount has always been highly sought after thus making the price a bargain for those whom wanted it for its uses, not just for simply collecting another mount as a number to their collection.
Thanks! I may spend some time learning how p servers work. I feel like that would be a captivating way to grant myself invaluable insight into MMO development, especially with regards to net code. As a dev I’ve been focused mostly on gameplay/mechanics development, UI/UX, and content delivery. I need to find the motivation to upskill in multiplayer engineering. The last MMO I worked on I was only ever given UI/UX work
Enjoy the mount on your 54 inch TV! It’s an awesome-looking mount. There’s no denying it.
They should remove the cash-shop and tokens and return the game to earning what you want in-game.
Pandora’s Box was opened the moment they introduced the token. There’s no going back now.
thankfully the token and store arent going anywhere despite a few complaints. lol.
blizzard makes way too much money to urinate on their cash cow…lmao…sorry.
The cash shop more than likely is the reason subs are still only $15 per month. You may not like what you are wishing for to happen. They will get their money out of WoW one way or the other. So be happy its 100% optional as it being in the cash shop.
Dear blizzard.
IF you want to remove the in game store and token, Im 100% fine with you increasing the monthly sub to $50 and expansions to $150+.
Others in here screaming about 90 bucks they dont need to spend lmao…might be upset about it
Pandora’s box can be shut again. With enough complaints.
Read this and the other threads on this topic. Plenty of complaints.
Pure unadulterated nonsense. Pushing this hard defending Bliz is hilarious.
There have been numerous complaints at various points over the last decade. Even entertaining the possibility is asinine. This isn’t me defending Blizzard either. I’m just being realistic.
That’s your personal assertion. That’s the way you see it. I don’t agree.
Then we are at an impasse. Have a good one.
Have a nice day.
