Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur $90.00 Ripoff!

If Blizzard went that way, then you would have to choose to either keep playing the way you are, or choose to not to and either adapt or quit. The choice would be one that be left to you. The cards would fall the way they would fall for the game either way. Because a lot of free to play games use that model and survive very well on it.

I would say more than likely above all the reason that Blizzard doesn’t use that model is because this game is still a sub game and still charges for xpac and the prices still go up per inflation as well as content packages per those xpac offers. So they don’t feel the need to toss in play to win option in the cash shop.

LMAO…overcharging how, son?
WHO decides the price? You? lmao.

you all have already said that OTHER games are even worse…and PLEASE dont make me post the ESO house again that is $99.99 to buy thru their crown system to prove a point again
oh wait…here it is lol

There is NO SUCH THING as a predatory price when we’re talking HOBBIES and DISPOSABLE income, son…period.

now…if we were talking food cost, housing or medical or even vehicle costs…

Oh…thats right…you aint gonna say SQUAT about CARS that cost MILLIONS or ART/PAINTING created by presidents sons that are sold for 6 and 7 figures, are you?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/01/23/hunter-biden-paintings-sold-15-million/
guess ‘predatory’ ONLY counts when YOU SAY it does, lmao

lying?
you literally compared WoW to pay to win games son

lord…you should maybe step back from posting for a bit and get your thoughts together :+1:

I didn’t compare WoW to pay-to-win games. I used pay-to-win games as an example for how a market will exist for anything, but that doesn’t mean Blizzard should attempt to appeal to those markets just because they exist lmao

Again, demonstrating that you can’t follow a very basic point lol

yeah…son…you did
THIS disussion is about the COST of a mount you all evidently cant afford.

G said there is a market AT the chosen price of 90 bucks…

and YOU responded with this joke comparison that this NON P2W game could conceivably do the SAME AS real P2W games because those players spend tons of cash there…

sad that you cant even keep up with your own statements son

this AINT a P2W game so there is no comparison…yet anyway

Okay, so you can’t read either. Good to know lmao

id stop posting till you can figure out how to word your posts to accurately reflect what you mean then, son…because this says what it says in the context it exists in.

this AINT a P2W game…not comparable…it doesnt matter how much P2W players will pay…THIS AINT P2W.

I never said it was a pay to win game. You’re just illiterate lol

strawmanning already?
You compared the spending habits of WoW to p2W son…clearly.
and now you just gonna double down, strawman, deflect, etc…as per usual.

There IS a market for a 90 buck Bruto.
this has ZERO to do with the spending habits of P2W players…
it was that simple :+1:

lmao…more deflection incoming

You more or less insinuated that because Blizzard is now selling a $90 mount in the store, that in time they will follow suit because people bought it, they would then jump fully into the pay to win item selling.

All to respond to my statement that there was a market for the $90 mount.

Which let me yet again explain why there is such a market for that mount and why $90 is actually a fair price. This mount is a limited time offer, the mount that it is modeled from is one of the most desired mounts in the game. Its was priced and limited time of only in BFA, but was priced 5 Million Gold, which is way more than $90 worth of gold now days, fact was if a person was to buy tokens to earn the gold back in BFA some paid as much a $800 worth of tokens to get the old AH mount. Again it was a limited time mount, that was put in the BMAH which it hardly ever showed up, when it did it went for gold cap.

$90 right now you can get in my opinion a better version of that mount, and if you pay the $90 or 1.2 to maybe 1.5 or so million in Gold, its a steal of a price for such mount.

Again its everyone own personal choice is they feel the need or want for this mount enough to part with that much gold or cash. But its hardly hiway robbery or over priced since the closest older version was far more expensive than this one by miles. And no one fell over with a stroke from it.

I will add that no one is going to fall over from a stroke from this $90 mount either, they are just acting like they are. Reminds me of Paul Reubens in Buffy the Vampire Slyer when he gets stabbed.

Exactly.
This game has nothing to do with P2W games where you literally PaY to WIN, lol…buying some currency, gems, weapons…whatever…to even be able to continue playing the game at all.

Even suggesting that we are encouraging a NON P2W game to use a P2W game methodology was absurd to begin with.
NO ONE HERE is remotely insinauating that blizzard could get into P2W territory JUST BECAUSE of a 90 buck mount lmao.

absolutely agree.
and while 90 bucks IS a ‘lot of money’ for some players, its NOT a ‘lot of money’ in the context of a HOBBY that is designed to throw time and $$$ at…not by a long shot.
I spent 5 figures on another hobby I have over the last 90 days, lol…90 bucks isnt lint in the pocket at that rate.

If one cant afford 90 bucks, that entirely ok…but my next question is…what do they do when a car breaks down?
Maybe paying for video games at that point isnt a good idea in the first place.

1000%
saying its ‘high’ priced is subjective and yeah…I can live with that opinion even if I dont entirely agree.

But this slanderous accusation of blizzard being ‘predatory’…well that just reeks of self entitled bovine dung that is clearly demanding that blizzard give them whatever they want at THEIR chosen price…and that AINT gonna happen

Strawmanning would be to misrepresent someone’s argument and assume that you’ve countered it with logic that said person wasn’t really contesting to begin with.

Kind of like someone using an example of a pay-to-win market existing and suggesting that just because it exists, it doesn’t mean a developer has a fiscal obligation to cater to those individuals, and then extrapolating that they’re saying WoW is P2W when they never even remotely came within the realm of stating it is lmao

But look, I understand this all looks like gibberish to you because you can’t read, so I’ll cut you some slack on whatever word salad you decide to vomit out next lol

I haven’t insinuated anything. You asserted that from what I stated, and I corrected you lol

My point in using the existence of a P2W market is to counterargue your insinuation that since a market (in this case, the brutosaur mount) exists, Blizzard has some sort of obligation in appealing to them when they don’t. It was to spell out to you that there exists a market for everything, and so the stance that they have to cater to that demand is ridiculous

“People want the mount.” Okay, so what? People also want P2W items in WoW. Are you about to tell me that they should put P2W items in the game, too?

That’s the point. If you still think, at any point, I stated that WoW was P2W, then you are also incapable of reading lol

Yes. This mount doesn’t add any power to your characters, it doesn’t give any advantage in any type of content.

It is just a mount giving access to the auction house.

You don;t need to buy it to progress or open up new content.

I NEVER SAID YOU SAID that wow is P2W lmao.

never said it son…YOU strawmanned that and you either DO know it…or…

…and you dont :+1:

What I DID say was that Wow ISNT P2W so you have no point to make using that comparison… lmao

do try to keep up lol

no…YOU are the one who compared a NON p2w game to P2W players purchasing habits son…we ALL saw you do it, lol

again…G says there is a market for the mount…and YOU responded by comparing a NON p2w game to a p2w market, which ISNT comparable.

NO ONE was ever suggesting…AGAIN…that we’d tolerate…or laughably…ENCOURAGE…blizzard to get into the realm of P2W practices…which a 90 buck ONE TIME PURCHASE isnt even in the same universe with lol

no wonder I can take you seriously in here, guy…you cant even keep up with YOUR own statements lol

Listen when people say things like PTW or Predatory. Let me describe this, lets say because its not going to happen, but lets say, That in the store for $100 you can buy a loot box that has a .00001% chance to drop a weapon that will one shot anything in the game. That pretty much one player in every 5 million players may ever get after spending $10,000’s or more USD on said loot box for a chance to get that weapon.

Little Johnny grabs mommies CC and runs it up to max trying to get that said item.

Now that is predatory and PTW type of stuff to be mad about.
