unstable affliction, imagine if you got crit 30k after purging a resto druid hot
Imagine complaining about the worst overall class in the entire meta right now. Suck less. Every class has at least some spec that is viable and B tier or better. Only thing a warlock has right now is a “Release Spirit” dialog stuck on their screen.
You areeee stuppppid if you think warlock overall worst class in game DH,hunter DK blah blah blah warlocks are fine
Not saying aff is OP, but UA shouldn’t be critting… so this is a valid concern (although certainly not a top priority one). They should just give it a moderate buff and remove its ability to crit… You should be able to predict your intake if you’re choosing to dispel a UA, not gambling on whether it’s going to crit or not.
Warlock is actually very slippery and hard to kill if played properly.
I’m gonna have to ask for a screenshot plz.
Yes, it can crit, maybe even for 18-21k or so. More than that? SS plz.
When did Abomb reroll to DK?
Introduce purging resto druid hots crit 20k only way to make the game fair.
Maybe it should just get the Chains of Ice treatment, to save your healers:
Unstable Affliction is no longer considered magic, and therefore not dispellable.
Or make dots in general unable to be dispelled, dispel only removing magic control effects.
Oh I totally agree, I think it isn’t punishing enough. I’ve got like ~7% chance to crit, so it’s INCREDIBLY rare to even see a crit, most times it happens when there aren’t CDs rolling, or during downtimes etc. so it’s easy to deal with. Remove the ability to crit, increase the base hit, boom fixed.
I’d actually push for a buff in the sense that I think unstable aff should baseline be able to be applied to 3 targets in pvp and with the old honor talent that did that apply either corruption or agony with when cast. This would free up a single GCD per dot rotation, and be more in line with the other dot classes that get 2-3 free dot applications constantly.
This defeats the purpose of UA. It’s purpose is to make it punishing to dispel ~all/any~ debuffs, not just the UA.
30k is a very bold exaggeration but yeah UA crit is pretty cancer
Can actually vouch as high as 29.4k from a heavily geared teammate. It’s definitely ridiculous when it crits. The crits are the issue, not the ability nor the base tuning (in fact, base tuning is probably too nonthreatening)
You are giving them next xpac class design ideas!
are u certain it was not on a prot pala? UA dispel is nerfed in pvp like my 207 lock non crit is 7.5k (without any buffs)
Huh? Where else but pvp would UA get dispelled?
idk maybe there is some mechanics in pve but i dont pve so.
But standing in orobos my ua dispel is 10k+, when in pvp instance it’s lowered to 7.5
Well that’s the thing tho. Its not like the old days where dispel was spammable but only took 1 thing.
Cleansing warlock stuff takes it all. All the pressure. Gone.
Even now, I see enemy healers when I’m playing my lock, they just dispel. Its like, they really don’t care, they want to dispel. Again and again.
Its not really dispel protection if it doesn’t protect them. Healers want to dispel, and they do.
This sounds about right, maybe a bit lowballed, I haven’t logged on in a few weeks (cancelled sub, waiting for nerfs to melee) but I think I was doing 7-8k with ~200-205 ilvl. So not far off at the very least. Highest I ever saw was a darksoul crit dispel that was only 22k give or take. Deathbolt is much scarier, it’s just… Poorly designed. 40k+ crits is hilarious though.
in reality with buffs like mastery from conduit its more like 8-9k yeah,
just thats the tooltip standard
