Toxic players in retail are going to get a life lesson in classic

Not likely. They will stay in their safe space, where they are free to be super douche pirates.

It’s up the positive people in the world to keep bringing positivity. There will always be negative people. We have to overcome and fill the game with positive vibes. Stand up against the toxic and make Classic the cooperative, guild-oriented, group-oriented, game. Cheers!

ya i made a post about it yall should check out.

its asking what are you going to do to make the community better.

To be fair… one person’s toxic player is another mans elitist.

This TBH. Also as I recall all raiding guilds were composed entirely of toxic people in Vanilla.

Prepare to be ignored and blacklisted by a lot of people then

Actually no. I’ve already described the difference between toxicity and elitism earlier in this thread. They are not one in the same. Some people can fall into both categories depending on their behavior, but for the most part people are either one or the other.

Edit: Found the post. Here it is:

Um to answer that a month later Burning Crusade was Announced

Can’t we all…just get along?

Yyyeeeesssssss… hugs but my daddy might get mad! :japanese_ogre::japanese_ogre::japanese_ogre::japanese_ogre:

I don’t know… it’s pretty easy to be both at the same time.

You can be an elitist that keeps things internal, like “I only do it this way, because that is the only way it should be done”… and that is basically harmless. I call my wife a food-snob sometimes because of things she won’t eat or even feed our pets.

Or you can go the oppressive route, “NO ONE should do this thing, because I deem it wrong and choose not to do it”. At that point, you would pretty much qualify as toxic.

Barrens chat was legendary for being obnoxious and inane. Imagine a never ending stream of 12-year-old boys’ stream-of-conscious musings interspersed with Chuck Norris jokes.

so very true!

… Me saying that people were toxic in vanilla does not mean that I myself am toxic or that I condone it. Rather that I think it’s important that people understand that Vanilla servers were not some just, self-regulating utopia where toxic players were quickly and fairly dealt with.

Also the Toxic Avenger was hero to all. Why you gotta bring him into this?

Uhmm… I’ve played both, mostly Alliance to begin with but had both on the test weekend.

TRUTH!

However, you had the opportunity to learn who those people were and avoid them. Harder to do in retail with crossrealm everything.

They probably will quit at level 4 after dying to the first red mob that got accidentally aggroed.

he said god is greatest in arabic

I don’t think anyone has said there were NO toxic’s in Original, it’s more the Refail fanboi’s trying to twist peoples words and paint Refail in a better light.

What many have said is that people who were toxic had a far harder time in game because of it, than they get in Refail for the same. The group finder isn’t the problem so much as the cross realming, its the anonymity of cross realming that brings it to the forefront.

And leave Toxic Avenger out of this, even he would drown in the vitriolic bile spewed forth by some here.

Edit - and look what gets posted right after…

Have we hit the echo-chamber point here ??

Let’s not pretend that retail created toxic behavior. People have always been this way and you’re foolish to believe otherwise.
