thats just the perception of some retards in this game, a mage can think he is skilled because he land a poly on a target and then mogo combust someone else etc etc
in the end, its you that pay the sub and play what you find fun, because its amazing that you should be having fun playing a video game, so let the haters hate and play what you want

ok wow that was really fast
this is orange, my friend found him at a gas station as a kitten and brought him to us and we decided to keep him, he is very polite and likes to sit on wrapping paper and likes to go to bed with me and get under the blankets
this is mallow she is a little kitten that my friend’s stray neighborhood cat had, along with a few other ones that they gave away to our other friends and we are planning on bringing them together and letting them have playdates, she is kind of scared/timid but she likes to come up to me while im playing wow and paw my thigh to get me to pet her
this is olive, she is the outdoor cat and whenever i leave to go to work i feed her and whenever i come home i sit with her and pet her for a while and sometimes she comes inside and visits with orange and mallow and its nice but then she has to go outside!
i saw this guy in my yard last night, i do not know their name and their motives are unknown

Uhh… how about the ability to block for starters? Bonus physical damage reduction from shield? 
This passive is just a bonus for being Prot spec
This talent is massive, as well as the bonus block gained from mastery + consecration damage reduction
No other pally spec has access to this. Huge benefit when playing against caster comps, on top of the fact that Prot gets a melee AND ranged kick (or blanket silence talented) with shield toss
Prot also gets 3 walls, something Ret and Hpal don’t have. If you opt to talent for PvP talent guardian then it’s flat out another immunity bubble.
Okay… now that the link fest is over. All of these things contribute to your effective health. It’s not simply a matter of “my character has X hp” but all of the things that an enemy has to go through to get that HP to zero. Think of it more along the lines of HP + mitigation = effective HP (survivability)
You probably think I’m doing this to attack you in some way, quite the opposite. I think your perception of the spec being so fragile is a bit off but I’d rather educate you a bit so you understand. I think some of your views come from not having much experience with playing the spec yet, playing it undergeared, and in skrims. Once you get more experience you’re gonna see massive results on the spec, it just takes time to understand when your in trouble and to use cooldowns effectively
There’s so many differences from SWTOR tank pvp when compared to WoW PvP OP.
Literally 2 completely different games and class designs especially PvP wise.
SWTOR there were no tanks self healing for absurd amounts on an instant GCD from low HP %'s to full. Tanks in that game brought a lot to the table, frontlined with defensive CDs, had great utility and decent damage but they were never over the top like Guardian Druids in previous patches and Prot Paladins now.
