Toxic culture is killing wow for me

I think part of the solution is adopting the “water off a duck’s back” mentality and letting the bad experiences just roll off you. The other part is actively working to engage with other positive players. Pass out friend requests and try to build a steady group you like running with.

Meta is for those who seek to beat content above KSM level. If it’s just KSM, any class can do it.

If you are declined right now, it’s not really becoz of your non-meta Class. It’s becoz there are gazillion players higher than your ilevel 601 gear and M+340 score. Just be patient, you will get invited. If you can, make your own group.

BTW, I rather have people choose me over you on their M+2. Hunter is also not in the meta. At least, I am now at M+877 score. Yup not the best. But I am positive that I could reach that KSM like how I did with previous Seasons/Expansions even with the worst Class/specs.

M+ will never not be a toxic system.

We should start age polling people who expect random people in a video game to behave how THEY want them to in a game where you can form your own groups, join guilds, and join community channels.

I can’t tell if it’s sensitive zoomers or inept boomers.

So you’re upset because your class doesn’t bring enough to the table aka stinks and you’re mad nobody wants you? Sounds Like an entitlement issue which is one thing wrong with the world. Nobody owes you a group experience. Start your own.

Druid is still the most versatile and fun class in the game, the issue is that people don´t realize that.
No other class can offheal, offtank and DPS without changing spec, plus you have tons of CC and an intercept.

Blizz can balance as you call it, but this won´t change the fact that the majority of the people leading group content are clueless and only think in numbers. They have addons, they browse jerk websites and make their decisions based on what they see there.

I can only advice that you play what is fun for you and just ignore the “meta” and all that nonsense. It´s not worth it, just like Ilvl the class does not make a group fail or succeed, it´s the players.

I understand, and it is a design choice responsibility.

personally its pretty funny how a bleed cat; wildstalker, with resto gear on has a kill timer 5 times longer than a ret; herald of the sun, with prot gear on.

there are some obvious wild variations in output.

This game died when they sacraficed classes being unique in the name of trying to homogenize every class to the same thing.

They could be trying to get better, but it’s not always easy for everyone. It’s especially harder when people rage at you for one mistake and kick you, or simply deny you invites.

I wish people in this community wouldn’t be so judgmental and quick to shun others.

Nah, it’s toxicity. There have been times where I’ve spent 30-45 minutes queueing for +15 keys without getting a single invite when I was more than geared for them. Or, I’d be invited, then kicked from the group when someone with a higher ilvl queued. This community is extremely toxic.

This is why I’m happy with delves this expansion, I can run them completely solo and not have to deal with terrible people in M+ or raids.

Really, i got denied inv since SL

You mean to tell me you didn’t try signing up for keys all the second half of DF and people declined you cause they want their fifth slot to be an Aug Evoker?

It is toxic at its core.

You CAN do mythics with non-optimal classes. It just takes more effort.

Most people are just too effing lazy to do it, though, and want only the “best” classes.

It’s toxic discrimination.

Perpetuated by the devs? Absolutely. But, people don’t HAVE to exclude the “less popular” classes. They do it out of laziness and a complete lack of empathy for their fellow player.

i agree nobody should be raging at people. but nobody is “denying” anyone invites. there are hundreds of dps applying for every single slot. if you don’t stand out in a big way, the odds are heavily against you. it’s nothing personal.

So the people who can’t manage to stand out, what are they supposed to do? Curl up and die?

This is why I think m+ itself is a terrible system.

Automated matchmaking can’t, and won’t, discriminate.

This is why I never used manual matchmaking systems. Too much elitism, too much discrimination.

They say to make your own group, so you do that and you invite someone, they check you and then decline. You apply to groups, they decline.

Suppose you just ain’t supposed to do anything without a guild… oh wait, they’ll ask you to log onto your better alt or make a new one if you don’t have one.

For sure. The world of group content is just depressing.

99% of the time it has nothing to do with your class or spec, it’s the fact when someone posts a key you get 30+ DPS applying at the same time.
