With the announcement of 2 legos now would be the time to farm torghast. They won’t have us packing on 30000000 lbs of soul ash to make lots of lego’s. For some really quick power boosts 2 minutes into patch.
I will assume old ash will not work here. I see….anima or silver/gold conversion once this gets more real and less pretty review movie. And regrind new ash.
Hope I am wrong but when a game makes the future known like this…it means new currency must replace old. And the old must die.
The thing that killed it was this stupid gem system, with torments and blessings that just makes for an annoying time. When you want to do quick runs, and your forced to slow down due to the combination present that works against you when you mass pull it.
Compared to before to where you just had a singular torment to deal with. That sucked for some floors, yet once you out geared it you could mass pull with ease. Along with you didn’t have to worry about clearing EVERYTHING in one go. With also having to make sure to follow all the stupid rules to ensure your getting the maximum points, like not taking epic powers.
They just tired to force time.olsyed metrics up for it cause I guess they were or are after numbers. Over practicality right now, given I guess did hey don’t meet some threshold it’s considered a failure. When during the bets when it had no restrictions or torments, it was fun and a lot better. Over what we have now that just isn’t fun, and drove players to one and done it. Given it just sucks and is a hated feature of shadowlands. That’s not being abandoned because blizzard just couldn’t leave it alone at all.
Personally I need to run some 11’s for more cinders to upgrade one more legendary, yet once I do that I’m never going back. Unless they force us to do it if we wan to craft a new legendary. Given we will be dual equipping in 9.2, and I can imagine there will be a huge shakeup in the meta game with how combos will interact with each other. So I hope whatever the new system is also allows for skipping the torghast grind over having to run it to make a rank 6.
Something I did not notice exactly where the upgrade process starts as far as the legendary level. Can it be as low as lvl 1, or can we even go so far as to start from scratch in the new zone. I do realize that at this point that stinky tower is more work than challenge, but it is still annoying.
Imagine if they - god forbid, put on a reward commensurate with the time/effort so that people who like torghast could do it and people who don’t like it don’t have to?
Like, imagine if it gave xp competative with solo leveling through zones and loot tables like island expeditions. Imagine, not just instantly killing off the content immediately when it becomes old.
I love Palace and Heaven. Fun for leveling, great for rewards. I love that you can get little boxes during the runs that you can open up into dozens of prizes ranging from a 1g firework, to a hairstyle worth 1mil gil (with everything from mount barding, cosmetic armour, and pets inbetween).
The powers in Heaven and Palace just feel like fun little editions that can make the run more interesting. I especially love the floor clear primals in Heaven. Torghast powers are awful though. There’s too much RNG. To top it off, they’re more essential to the run itself and not just a cool little side perk like in the FF14 versions.
And yes… the rewards in Torghast are just terrible when you’re used to things like Palace and Heaven.
Edit: I also like that, as you mention, it’s not tied to progression in any way. It doesn’t use your gear, so everyone who goes in there starts on equal footing and levels up on their own. No advantages from outside the Deep Dungeon.
Same. Did the quest to save Baine, and never bothered going back. just my opinion, but they have enough instanced content in this game already With dungeons, raids, and bg’s. They should concentrate on outdoor content. Getting to gimmicky adding stuff like Torghast. I know warfronts were instanced, but at least they had a outdoors open world feel to them. Would like to see them try more stuff like that, if they want to keep trying to shoehorn people constantly into instanced stuff.
People asked for rewards. They could’ve easily thrown a bunch of cool new recolored mogs, pets, mounts and other COSMETICs like Island Expeditions, but they didn’t, so no one did it.
