So tried the new layer (7), couldnt even beat the first floor boss, and i know its plain impossible for me, Warriors have terrible magic defense and this boss SPAMS magic spells constantly that do a lot of dmg.
And that stupid assassin mechanic is just has frustrating has ever.
Im plain not bothering with it anymore, even the Maw is already making me want to quit to zone entirely.
People like to play Solo Blizz, and Torghast and Maw are extremely unfun for solo players.
Theyâre soooo close to making Torghast fun.

Layer 7 is the second to hardest layer for the entire game. What item level are you?
Currently at 182 i believe, with bis legendary
Thatâs about where I am too and Layer 7 is too much for me too. Stands to reason the hardest layers are tuned above LFR item level probably.
They smacked tanks and healers too, buffing HP of bosses etc, not more challenging mind, just extended the time youâll spend in there.
It wouldnât surprise me if they saw how popular it was on Beta, and at the end when they stress tested Torghast it was still fun for the many that got to try it.
They saw an opportunity to add in some minutes, and holy cow going from 25-30 minutes clears of ALL layers to this is just mind blowing.
Iâm so disappointed, Torghast was so much fun before Blizzard realized it was so much fun!
Fun was detected, but do not fear, it has been eliminated. The Dour feeling of Shadowlands will be preserved.
This has nothing to do with fun. This is about buisness. The sales pitch to investors was that players will have alot of time spent In torghast.
They buffed the difficulty so people take it slower. Small pulls = more time in torghast.
This is whatâs itâs about. They want to increase the /played in torghast and outer worlds as well. Callings Maw rares/dailies. Mythic vault takes a lot of time.
You guys need to look at the changes from a buisness point of view rather than gameplay. When you do that it will make alot of sense.
I think they buffed the maw as well. Died to two non elites after burning through cds. Ridiculous. Just gonna spend a metric ton of gold buying loot runs now lol.

I figured with the issues I had with some stuff at Layer 6 + the buffs they did that I wouldnât be able to do any higher this week (and may need to drop difficulty as well)⌠and you know what? Thatâs fine! Layer 8 is the top difficulty PERIOD so I kinda expected with my low gear that Iâd hit a wall and need to get better stuff. Iâll get up there eventually and the Soul Ash is frontloaded, so I can bear not being FULLY optimal.
What if 7/8 are tuned for people in heroic/mythic gear?

Why do you feel the next to last layer of Torghest should be easily beaten in M0 gear?
So what you are saying is there is a challenge too great for you in an RPG. At times like this most would say âhey, maybe if I had better equipment I could progress my character and overcome this hurdleâ. But this is GD where if you canât do something itâs someone elseâs fault.

Well at least I got my helm finished on the paladin, mission accomplished! Blizzards probably shaking their fist at the sky because too many scrubs are feeling like they accomplished something.
