How do you permanently ignore someone on this? I never saw an option to do so. What are you talking about? lol

I have to agree. When Torghast became available I grinded to level 3 in my very meh gear. Here we are 4 weeks later and I can reach level 5 in my not as meh gear. I think most of us non-raiders will have to accept levels 3-5 as the most we can achieve in our mediocre gear. As you say, most of the soul ash is rewarded from levels 1-4, it’s NOT THAT BAD.

“I would say it’s just a matter of RNG.”

So true. Every anima ball I approach now I am like ‘please let me add another inferno when cast.’

It is totally random but kind of fun. In one run (level 3 or 4), I had accumulated 4 of those! So on the final boss I dropped my infernal and 4 others dropped along with it. It was FANTASTIC. Like Christmas come early.

It is for people who love to grind and be challenged at the same time!

Like I said in an earlier post of mine, maybe it is the lack of loot/mat drops that makes the failures so painful.

This thread was started almost a month ago, and much has changed since then. Twisting Corridors is supposed to be the challenge mode, the rest should be fun but not overly difficult.

Until the rewards for Twisting Corridors are released and show the challenge is worth it, we cant have the normal layers be free anyways because it doesn’t take long to level one legendary. it only will get worse as more soul ash is available because you can’t give legendary gear away and allow everyone to have every BiS ready incase of a nerf or buff.

Partying for group especially for tanks/healers should be rewarded a bit more for doing Torghast, because they are most demanding roles when doing groups. Like give extra soul ash for tanks and healers at least. But I am sure many would disagree.

I see many Looking for Group page, and there are lot of those who can’t find a tank at Lvl 7-8 areas.

Give solo version a bit more slack and let them have their regular soul ash, and give party version more challenging - but rewarding with extra soul ash. Especially tanks/healers need more soul ashes.

If you click a user’s name on here and go to “view activity” you can then click the “normal” button in the top right and set it to ignored

Some users hide their activity and you will have to add them manually by clicking your character picture on the top right, clicking preferences (weird microphone icon under your avatar on the dropdown) and then preferences again (cog shape on the drop down) and then go to users on the left then hit the “+add” button and paste in their name there in the xxxx-wyrmrestaccord format

its not easy to ignore people that hide their activity… but I put in the effort for some people

Level 3 Soulforges. I get to the fifth floor on my hunter and encounter a group of five normal mobs mixed in with two elites. The room is filled with pats, so CC and kiting isn’t an option. They’re too close to each other be separated by careful pulling. The only logical option would be to stealth past the group, but nope, the elites have stealth detection. You can actually get closer to them without agro without stealth than you can with stealth. Seems legit. Okay so maybe put the pet on passive, run through, feign death, and let them reset, right? A time-honored hunter tactic. Nope, they keep attacking you even in FD. Did I mention this was level 3 Soulforges? Thank you, Blizz.

I hate persisting in the Maw enough as is with its Grand Theft Auto-level nonsense. Torghast definitely feels like a chore compared to the other things that are more enjoyable by comparison, and I especially hate it when I complete everything for the day and then I groan and remember that The Maw is still a thing…

“Here we go again”, indeed.

Lol I was on my pally I got her to maybe 150 and went into torghast to do later 3. I really did alt f4 the final boss wasn’t doable for me. I feel like the challenge is ok for more optional type stuff I just hate having it as a weekly thing that should be done. Ofc this game is all optional but you know you’re gimping yourself missing that. If it were like mage tower then that’s ok it’s just a fun thing for a impressive item to show off but that’s not what this is.

I think you mean a chance at a Tootsie Roll.
Two or three of the other people in your party/raid might get it instead, and not you.

Lol you hurt feelings with your truth and got reported. Sad. Also. laughs in warlock Solo’d floor 8, skipped half of the mobs on each floor cause why not.

Now that I’m done baiting, yes it’s not easy. It’s not supposed to be. Grouping can actually make it more difficult. Take a tank and a dps or two and you’ll be golden if you’re having issues, I hear it makes it faceroll easy.

Yeah, sometimes it can get impossible to beat, like when you get the Empowered Imperial Duelist as Level 8 gate boss, floor 5, at the end of the floor…

I was getting 5-6k Auto Attack damage and 15k big hits. with 240k HP(the boss, I had 43k hp with powers)… I got him to 45k but ran out of stuns, interrupts, CDs, etc…

I didn’t get healing powers so my passive healing wasn’t enough… died 10 times… that was it… reset…

I went as Havoc DH… as DPS… when healers have it 100 times easier by doing a big % of their healing as dmg… and some classes have it even worst than DHs…

We can pull big rooms and survive, but out Single Target DPS is crap so sometimes when we get Empowered Imperial Duelists is bad, too much melee damage to handle… not enough time to kill, even with good dps powers…

I didn’t get the immunity when casting Eye Beam(on my last run)… that would have helped or the “healing bubbles power”… so when the powers are bad… the Empowered Imperial Duelists are impossible walls…

idk torghast isn’t that difficult, I can fly through them in 20 minutes or less and I usually just skip most of the trash mobs where I can. also if you hate it so much there’s hundreds of bot adds in trade chat selling torghast runs. and you really only need to do a level 6 run twice a week for the soul ash to make your lego’s which is easier than wiping those tears away.

I just tried to do a level 6 in 2 different placess. The first one gave me a minus 10% debuff for haste. For an assass rogue that = death. I walked out without hitting a thing.

The other place gave me a debuff that did 1200 damage to me every 5 seconds. I actually got passed 4 floors before I gave up on the 5th.

Now I wont even bother going back. My choice but it kind of blows.

You are not wrong.

My experiences have been random. Last night, I did Soul Forges. Which was a royal pain in the backside to get to the end boss. Once there, it was a joke. The boss shouldn’t be easier than level keepers/trash. And it was, by a significant margin.

Torghast needs tuning. It appears they are playing whack a mole with it at the moment. Doesn’t seem as if they have a firm grasp on this thing quite yet. Of course you will have those who want it to be challenging as all get out and those who would like moderate challenge. Hard to get ‘right’.

I like a decent challenge. I’m too old to want the extreme stuff. Hence I don’t do the higher levels.

hate the Maw and Torghast.

why give buffs if you still can not complete the content with it. I don’t feel empowered/buff.

if you don’t want it to be solo content put in group finder like a normal/heroic dungeon.

He’s trying to get green text.

All the green texter’s, save the tech support hero’s, are just Blizzard authorized troll’s.
