Torghast harder just Alt F4 No Thanks

it was never advertised as a solo event so get off your high horse

I beat 6th solo with i155, it was close. It gets more fun when it’s tougher, introductory floors give bad first impression

Um, it most certainly was. A few different time.

And no. I hate walking. It’s why I stay out of the Maw.

I thought levels 7 and 8 this week were easier than level 6 was last week.

It’s really become a snore chore imo.

It’s been a snore since they were introduced, it takes waaaaay to long, is tedious and exhausting. They aren’t fast paced fun Solo content we were looking for to bang out some Soulash.

Timed layer 7 and it took me 36mins. Still way too long and I have decent gear too 210 wep, 213 shield etc.

We need a way for mobs to be auto looted and get these runs down too 15 mins so it’s a fast fun smash and grab RPG action. I would say more Anima buffs, the Souls should reward double % main attribute. etc…

Group content is apparently where its at. That is the emphasis they are highlighting.

We have PvP, M+ Raiding for that. Sorry but in today’s world and gaming people really enjoy online Solo content in RPGs. Maybe it’s because I played so much Diablo where it’s Solo. The fact is people want to enjoy content Solo then group up for something challenging like a Raid or efficient farming

There needs to be more Solo content focus. Torghast was supposed to be that and many people were excited about that.

I really want Torghast to take a very fast mob farming feel to it, where your build and Anima power make you feel OP. I think they should move all BoE drops to strictly Torghast in the infinite floor model then the higher floor higher chance at BoE’s dropping. Fun, fast loot hunter feel to it where I can drink my coffee and enjoy myself.

This particular mob seems broken and overtuned in a big way. After a lvl 8 5 death beating, I left Torghast to re-enter. Now if I see this mob I give it one attempt (because with all the nerfs changes buffs etc who knows what hits hard and what doesn’t) and then I leave and reset. This mob is a particular example of an xpac that was no where near ready to launch. Despite the most recent nerfs, I still hear long time players of the game saying they have had enough.

^^This^ It was specifically advertised as solo-friendly and scaling. Twisting Corridors will be there for people wanting a ladder to climb that keeps getting seriously harder as they go up.

They where NOT advertised as a solo person content. they where a multiple way to play content which include grouping, learn to read context not select words. So not being able to do it all solo isnt wrong. and the higher lvl tuff should be more for groups since soul ash is higher counted @ lower layers

They would be zero point in Torgahast being used for legendaries if you could run a L8 solo in 15 minutes… and since a L8 covers ALL pervious layers of ash you max out then the rest the time it take 30ish minutes… WOW so much need to farm… You al just want stuff handed to you without having to do anything

From an ilevel 172 tank who just soloed Layer 8 after miserably failing Layer 7 on the previous day… I would say it’s just a matter of RNG.

  1. Some godly combinations of anima power change the story completely. (I had a combination of “Execute-at-your-service-any-time” and “400% damage increase for 4 seconds after charge/leap”, which melted most mobs in seconds.)
  2. Some floor bosses are way overtuned (caster one and shooter one dish out crazy amount of damage).

So, the experience vastly varies person to person, occasion to occasion, and that’s the intent of it I believe. However, since it is strongly RNG-based for no practical reward other than ash, it could surely use some reward boost.

No! We don’t want mandatory resources time-gated behind painful content you have to suffer through. Not sure how you aren’t reading that. It’s been stated many times.

Torghast was something to look forward too for fast Solo content it has failed to deliver so far in many ways stated 100’s of times above. It would be best if we didn’t have to go in there at all.

Many more changes are needed.

I mean, one of those was an interview with a senior designer and spoke about how Torghast was to be soloable content and the other was an article for Blizzard Watch about how Torghast would actually be harder as a group because of how the tuning was based on solo runs.

And those are literally just information I found in about 10 seconds of google.

Where are your sources?

You must play a tank.

I wanted to. KT bear form is awesome, but I’m doing group content this time around which means no tanking or healing for me. Also, I’m too lazy to switch specs.

I think you also fail to see the correct points. You want unlimited access or free to make you feel “powerful” without work. You want fast so you can just pretty much skip the content. You want the strongest gear without effort.

Yes some runs can be painful but you have the option to reset or go with people. Torghast is for Legendary gear. So gating it so we don’t have people having every piece maxed and made waiting for the next balance patch is fine. Making it where your choice matters, where you don’t just get to freely enjoy having the BiS at a whim… there are other games designed for that thinking and WoW isn’t one of them

It’s activision , their time played = good game and money has ruined the game and they are oblivious to it because the game still make plenty of cash . Torghast, legendarys , and the maw are terrible system . Why do I need pay cash to get a legendary. ? Cash buys gold which bought me a legendary . Sad very sad

Tanks and healers can easily solo Torghast. they will not join your puny dps party

You may be able to buy the equipment parts but it still takes you effort to forge them with soul ash and the powers. They gave an option to make crafting worth it. and to allow them to feel good about helping others while making gold for their time and effort.
