The problem is that there are players who are actively putting in a lot of effort to achieve strong iLevels and gaining more skill in their class every day, since the expansion is only 3 weeks old, the players that put the most effort are rewarded. Again, if players don’t want to put in the effort to get better gear, or research how their class or Anima Power works then there are lower layers that offer the bulk of the dust. Both types of players get a legendary. What is the issue with that?

You want a challenge? Make Ilvl not matter. Now you are saying that they should be rewarded for their ilvl by it being easier, when you said and I quote “It’s designed this way because reward is not the incentive, rather the satisfaction and pride of completing it.”. Fine then - revert the changes and make it both rewarding and challenging. What is the issue with that?

They don’t have the revert it because the system is working as intended. If players put in more effort to get a higher iLevel and they learn their class then they can take on the challenges more easily, if players do not want to be challenged they can do lower layers for the same rewards. This makes both casual players and hardcore players happy, which again makes for a balanced system. Changing it to appeal to one side over the other would be an unbalanced system in my opinion which is why I believe the system is working as intended.
How about this one - get rid of the ramping damage / CC immunity buff, which it seems is the majority of the problem. Lower their hp again and increase the frequency of their attacks appropriately so that it’s not straight impossible for some classes. Good fix?
He’s literally only trolling for a response. Nothing you say is going to change anything. He’s been doing it almost non stop for like 4 days now, and before that he was doing it, but arguing on the side of Blizzard sucking and everyone being a simp.

Its the traditional pretentious and elitist designer brain getting in the way again. They do this every damn expansion now.
Game starts off with cool concepts, then gets ‘balanced’ into oblivion.

Again, competent players are not having an issue as Layer 7 and 8 are easily done by a lot of folks. If these layers prove to be difficult, go for lower layers.
Except I am looking for a challenge. Why must solo content in this game always be easy?

That’s basically how it is now. The soul ash is concentrated towards the lower layers, with diminishing returns at higher layers. You do the more difficult content, you get a bit extra. If you don’t want to do that, you can do the easier stuff and still get the majority of the reward.
No insult needed, hop over to priest forums and inform everyone there that they are incompetent as well - let me know how that works out for ya
I’m not looking for it to be stupid easy (especially at this point in the game - we’re barely into this expansion, I expect this stuff to be a challenge until we get better gear). But it was PLENTY hard enough before the recent maintenance. Not only the difficulty, but the TIME. It was already taking about an hour to slog through a solo level 3 or 4 torghast. Why by all that’s holy does it need to be HARDER? My husband and I tried to take our hunter and rogue through a level 4 on Tuesday and we were like… wtf happened here?! It WAS fun and enough of a challenge before to be exciting. Now it’s just painful, and I don’t especially want to go back.

I just came to the forums to echo that Torghast is not fun anymore in my opinion and I hope it is adjusted further.
