There is a weekly cap on soul ash. It’s given to us by the floor gate.
There is no gear reward from these things. It’s just soul ash. With a weekly cap.
We have had weeks now where it was standard expectations to be able to clear the floors, with a mild increase in difficulty each step up. This felt good. I assumed that, as long as I kept gearing, I’d be able to keep climbing for that additional 80 or so a week.
But with the only reward being soul ash and that one reward only being given upon full completion, with a death counter, why should it be this hard? This isn’t giving me competitive gear. Hell, our legendaries can only be crafted up to a certain level. It’s not like we’re boosting them up.
You can disagree with me, fine. But I enjoyed how it was, and I do not enjoy how it is currently. These changes are a big issue for me.
If these things are meant to be this challenging, then the reward structure does not make them compelling enough. If these things are meant to be a weekly chore, then there’s absolutely no reason to bottle-neck it with such difficulty.
I do not see a reason for this to be very challenging content. I really don’t. Not with all of the gates in place.
I don’t think we are intended to do layers 7-8 at our current gear level. It would be nice if Blizzard released a statement though to clarify what gear level they expect for each layer.
I would like to see this as well. because the level of difficulty of 6 was there was nothing pointing to the fact that it was going to be that dificult
It would be the same as releasing mythic tier raid on week 1. that’s what 7 and 8 feel like right now.
my main is a self healing 190 ilvl toon btw. I cant finish floor one of 7 solo.
I done it on Blood/Unh DK, BrM/WW monk, Fury/Prot warr, and priest.
BrM monk i think was easiest, Blood dk was also easy, but harder then monk, and prot was a little tougher but doable. Shadow priest i wouldn’t doubt is going to have the hardest time of any class due to a long interupt, no slows or cc, no pet, and little ability to kite.
My advice would be to find a tank and run it with them, they usually have a very easy time.
They buffed the floors on lower difficulties as well. I struggled with a level 6 and just left out of frustration with it. Some of the mobs too far took long to kill and I don’t want to spend hours in here.
Maybe I can do a 5? IDK. I don’t want to waste time finding out what levels are my speed with all of these changes. I’m just done with the system.
Yeah. Which is why it’s jarring for them to suddenly bottleneck the climb. Especially since everything about this system is gated.
I dont understand why you think blizz would not encourage people asking for help if they needed. If you want do go solo then have at it, but I will tell you that it is much easier as a tank then any other role. Im sure many will agree who have tried it
The changes don’t feel like they want to make it ‘slightly’ easier for groups to complete, they want people to be grouping, period.
I would spend way more time in Torghast than I do right now tbh if they made it faster to go through or made partial completes more worthwhile. I have to find one or two nights a week I can just play uninterrupted for a few hours without breaks if I want to do Torghast, and I have the ‘fortune’ of not having a family.
They need to lean into the exploration and randomness of Torghast more and stop thinking with a raid/m+ design mindset.
I believe any of the websites that drop info for new content like wowhead and Iceyveins has them listed as such. I never expected to be running layer 6 in the gear I currently have. We’re going to need raid/pvp gear to run the higher levels
before today my druid bear was able to do lvl 3 fine, now i cant do lvl 2 cause the gate keepers hp way out does my tank dps and some of these gate keepers have damage modifier stacking buffs 0.0
