Wtf is with some of these bosses?
173 ilvl Sub rogue and i cannot kill a 250k hp Patrician Cromwell on layer 2. Hes just freakin impossible unless i get the right anima powers and good rng…
Blizz you need to make this crap not so RNG based. Some bosses are IMPOSSIBLE TO KILL if you have a bad anima power run

Honestly what worried me is the lack of defensive anima powers for some classes. My ret paladin had to become a glass cannon for the later bosses were just hitting soooo hard.
Anima powers do make a big difference. I didn’t die on my layer 3 run tonight but it was VERY close on the final boss… the only decent power I got let me basically heal myself to full with a single cast which is the only reason I survived. Basically no dps boost powers at all except a 3% versatility. It was night and day between that and runs when I get good buffs and everything just melts.
Why would Blizz bring something people DESPISED from PVP to PVE? I have friends with way less skill at the game one shotting the layer 3 boss at ilvl 130, but at 163 it’s nearly impossible to clear??? WTF was someone thinking to bring ilvl scaling to PVE? Why don’t they just set every piece of gear at a certain ilvl like back in MoP with challenge modes? That worked!!
Wait, they have ilvl scaling in Torghast? Who is that for?
I have no idea, it had to have blinded them in their endless pursuit to make content replay value higher. I wish I knew before I got STRONGER that I would get WEAKER.

Torghast is super easy for me. My Earth elemental shrekts that place.
It’s honestly not fun. Glad it’s easy for you, while your pet kills stuff.

Let me be clear challenges where you have to dodge, cc, interupt, etc are FINE. This is overtuned at higher ilvls, ESPECIALLY for classes that can’t heal themselves.

They are most definitely wildly imbalanced. Most of the bosses that I got were more or less a pushover, but there was one boss on the second layer of the soulforge that I had to fight like hell to just barely overcome. I expect things will get better as I do more Torghast and learn more about builds, but that still doesn’t change the fact that boss difficulty varies dramatically.
Yah, I had to go back and redo it with better RNG to beat it, and it was a cakewalk. GG Blizz.
that’s… exactly how every roguelite works

My fury warrior did fine, I think.
I think it’s more about rogues tendency to struggle “soloing/tanking” bosses. I mean, don’t they only have like 2 healing spells? And long cooldowns on those?
Dungeon crawlers are all about rng powers you get though. That’s the point.

Imagine my shock as a mage at 170il when I pulled up on a guy with like 350k HP and a movement speed buff and the inability to get CC’d any longer. It was really fun to figure that out 45 min after starting.

If they made it 100% win rate, people would get bored with it just like Warfronts. It would become a mandatory shlog that was just something you check off the weekly to-do list.
The beauty of Torghast in its current condition is that there is no 100% win rate. There are going to be runs where you are going to die. That’s what keeps it interesting. Getting bad powers and dieing the first time, then coming back with better luck and completely smashing the place makes it more fun.

It’s the first week.
Go get some gear upgrades and try again.
If you’d bothered to read, it’s about disparity between class survival tools and, more-so ilvl scaling.
You missed the point. It scales with gear and gets harder.
Is it still broken where you can just sell some gear to make your ilvl lower but the compensation of your weapon makes it a breeze?
