I mained a subtlety / ambush Rogue up until a couple expansions ago when they were nerfed beyond real use. I loved that character though and still have great memories. What is the burst dps class of choice these days?

WW monk has some pretty insane burst right now. Might be worth checking out if you have an affinity for melee.
Sub is just fine. Get better.

I don’t play rogue, but no high end representation is probably for a reason, right? Anecdotally, I can’t remember the last time I fought a sub rogue out and about.

News flash, hardly anyone is at 2600 right now. Ratings are very low at the moment because of the reset. Most of your top players are A) On the TR mostly because of the AWC or B) annoyed with the current meta
Sub is also solid at double DPS 2s, not 3s where Sin is king at the moment.
To further on this even MORE, he was asking about burst.
Nobody said a thing about arena.
World PvP isn’t arena.

I haven’t toyed with sin too much because I can be a zombie with swords and pistol.
But from what I heard sub is crap right now but sin has a great burst

What’s the point of a 50k hit opener when you can’t sustain the damage to down an enemy? Sub ISN’T fine.

I don’t think WW has burst-- what WW has is good sustained dps throughout a fight.
Bursty classes right now IMO during CD windows are
Destro warlock-- 90k chaos bolt
Havoc DH- the ususal stun/eyes/revolving blades combo
Ret paladin w Wings up

Really? I have been chunked hard by WW when they pop karma, ToD, and Storm, Earth, & Fire. Keep in mind that pallys can negate WW burst with BOP or bubble, but other classes can’t tank that. On my shaman I’m like “run away little girl” (big bad wolf voice).
The problem with WW IMO is that you really have to have the stars align to burst in pvp.
Also-- WW has too many PVP only skills that are mandatory for pvp ( at least for me) that help to minimize our squishiness that should be baseline.
like reverse harm and stoneskin as an example
Then you pretty much have to take turbo fists-- so how do you fit in burst like pressure points?
Anyhow-- WW i do like for PVP, but I cant see how to 100 to 0 someone quickly like a RET can.
