I’ve been getting popup notifications about professions non stop. I’m not going to do that crap but I haven’t been able to get those messages to stop. Is there a setting that allows me to block those?

Tooltip usually means the window which pops up somewhere when you mouse over something.
Can you describe the notifications more? Or, better, take a screenshot?
Are they in your chat? What are they saying?
It’s a window that pops up and looks exactly like the tooltip windows that says, you can level up [insert profession]. It does it on every character, every time I log in or zone into an instance/zone.
If I don’t have a profession on that toon, it says you can get a profession.
Do you mean the one which says “You have unspent profession knowledge”?
That is a message, it’s not the only one though.
I unlearned a profession on an alt to see if that would make it go away but the message just changed to try ang get me to learn one.
Can I make it go away?

I don’t know what other things may be hidden by it though. It may prevent you from knowing that you have unspent talent points. Since it affects all the microbuttons.
