Too many gathering nodes, prices tanking fast

Noticed there is way too many herbs and ore on the AH and getting worse every day. They likely need to reduce or inhibit some of the node respawns before there is a crash. It is far too easy to head out for an hour and come back with complete bags stuffed with herbs and ore.

There should be some level of rarity to things like terocone, mana thistle, and khorium/eternium…

its botters and no-lifers farming most of that, alot of the more normal (NOT casual, i mean actual players) do not get a fraction of those materials and its hard to find in open world, i spent an hour open world quest grinding on my hunter alt who is a herbalist, and found one herb. one.

Any solution to the problem you personally see, only creates bigger problems for many others. This is a pointless thread as you should be targeting blizzard for not doing more to combat botting.

I love cheap crafting mats.

Keep 'em coming.

I would argue that you need to try harder and just play the game. Herbs and ore are everywhere and too much flooding the AH drives down good gold profits.

Blizz needs to reduce these materials greatly to be on par with real TBC levels

I assume this is a satire post right? There are 0 nodes on mankrik

That my friend is the negative side to a Mega server.

Reasons why the Bot ARMY floods the market.

  1. Cheap and easy way to make gold by selling cheap mats.
  2. Because YOU cant make money now you’re more inclined to buy gold from them.
  3. Bots don’t eat, sleep or rest so the price does not matter.

GG

Isnt that a good thing?

This, basic supply and demand.

Cheap stuff is a good thing.

Mankrik has more nodes than most. it is a herb and miners paradise and the market is suffering it needs less nodes.

Just gonna have to come to terms that gathering is gonna keep getting worse, nothing blizzard is gonna do about it as usual.

You must be playing on a different server, everyone I talk to can’t find nodes.

I did like 4 laps earlier, found one herbalism node.

It doesn’t scale with population, and Mankrik is highest population horde PvE server, so I’m gonna say you’re probably wrong on that one bud

Mana thistle and terocone are incredibly hard to farm. They’ve all but disappeared.

agreed let’s reduce their frequency by 10,000%. That should do the trick!

Hmm, I play on Mankrik and find tons of mining nodes frequently, and see many herb spawns up. During peak hours when more people are farming, sure they may be a little more scarce. Earlier in the morning/later in the evening they are fairly plentiful.

Yeah this guy just sucks at the game. Farming nodes is easy and plentiful. Too plentiful to keep prices stable.

the only thing I’m miffed about is fel lotus. it vendors for 1g and is currently selling for about 3g at best, sometimes as low a 1.50g. evidently there just isn’t enough recipes available that uses fel lotus. a good “#somechanges” thing would be to notice this and release more things that require fel lotus. just saying.

Half of those bots and no lifers are hunters. I am sure everyone is shocked.

I find the herbs I need but I really think you looked at the other threads complaining about this and are trolling.

You remind me of that guy who keeps claiming that the herb/mine spawns are going to be reduced by 35% “Next Tuesday” with no proof.

I can’t speak for ore, but most herbs ARE fine. No one is complaining about Felweed or Dreaming Glory. Terocone and mana thistle are the two that are problematic. Terocone is used in just about every high level elixir/flask but can only be found in Terokkar and one spawn at a time where the bird people are in SMV.

Forget about mana thistle - it’s camped 24/7.

Blizzard needs to increase these two herbs out in the world.
