Why did they do that for multiboxers and not botters? Is it because one pays extra money and the other one doesn’t?
They both do. That’s why bots aren’t banned until it gets out of hand and people start to notice.
How did you come to the conclusion that a botter pays less than a multiboxer?
A botter can have their toon running 24/7 without even having to sit at the PC, a multiboxer actually needs to control their toons.

You might be right, I’m not sure. After multiboxing playing 1 character is braindead easy, it’s so quick and thoughtless because you only have to concern yourself with the one character. So am I only exerting 1 characters worth of effort as I multibox I’m gonna say no, but am I exerting 5 characters worth of effort ehh I dunno. Like I said going back to 1 character feels crazy easy so I might be doing a commensurate amount of work.

Also, these threads are silly. Now that I’ve bantered back and forth I realize it’s a waste of time. I get the feeling that you anti-multiboxers are ingenuine in your crusade - it feels like there’s some funny business you’re up to so I’ll skip out on your future tirades.

It’s bad for the other honest farmer. The droprate and price is tuned around a person farming it. if an item is designed to have 1% droprate, multiboxing pretty much have 10% droprate and they can pretty much adjust the price based on it.
I’m a multiboxxer as well, I know how it works.

You are paying them for the work they put in controlling your other characters so you don’t have to so you can get more loot. Like I said it’s not cheating or hacking its just pay for more get more.
They’re already monitoring it, i have ISBoxer friend getting banned for weird reason like “disturbing the economy” and they also nerf Quilrat raw gold farming because it’s absurd for multiboxxer.
Blizzard is monitoring the benefit of Multiboxer, just keep more thread like this up so they know the playerbase opinion about it.

I accept that it is currently allowed by blizzard but I don’t think it should and is only tolerated because it gives blizz extra money without causing people to quit like how they ignored botters for so long until it became a huge problem.

It was probably both of those things.
Bot ban waves just make it so botters make enough money to buy another account with some profit. Especially when they do it on the scales they do with dozens of accounts at the same time.

Well I’m not getting more than I would have otherwise, it’s just simultaneously getting what I would have gotten playing 1 by 1 
At least in my use case (not a gatherer) I had 50 characters prior to boxxing and I’d do 50 emissaries in a day and get 50 characters worth of loot
Nah you get an insane amount of gold if you knew how to abuse the hyperspawn.
but that would take you 50x the time and you do it without 50x the effort
