Why even make botting bannable? If it doesn’t directly affect me in a way I can articulate then just let them do it…
I looked at their post history, they have been railing against multiboxing for a while now, broken up by breaks (silenced?). I believe it’s part of the botter campaign to discredit multiboxers and turn focus from the botters activities. Blizzard has been hitting them quite hard.
You guys slowed down, post something!
Shouldn’t you be busy controlling 5 characters? Oh it doesn’t take you 5x as long?
I don’t care about multiboxing. It’s just a lot of people defending it are stuck on some pretty serious logical fallacies.
Yes, i can’t farm 100k/hour in Voldun playing normally, but i sure can with 10 man box.
It is by the very definition ‘unfair’.
I can’t
But the playerbase do actually love you multiboxers, I love being able to throw you guys an emote and I get the same emote or a dance back x5.
Hahahaha - ok, thanks for that. Now I see what’s up. We’ve got two folks in this thread that are in a tizzy about it.
I’m actually trying to understand why you think it’s sooooooo bad.
Share. What’s the crux of the biscuit here? I see the OP posted a note about ruining the value of professions?
Does it though? Actually… when I see a bunch of mats available I tend to buy them up and power level my professions. That lets me get to crafting items that are higher value. For my alts, for my guild, for the auction house. So… really? I think your opinion on the subject can be countered with data. Undermine journal and TSM are more an interesting case study here, if you’re so concerned about the devaluation of professions.
So… what else you got? Are you thinking that somehow multiboxers are getting something you aren’t? Right now about the only thing I get is piece of mind that my island expedition runs are going to be peaceful and simple (I 3 box so it works out nicely).
Really… what’s the deal? You guys are poking at symptoms and surface level bits.
Nah I’m waiting on prepatch, going to level 5 more characters on a new realm Going to try dungeon leveling Never did a dungeon that was my level before so it should be fun learning how to do everything
Way to go twisting my point there.
I am not talking about what you can earn by multiboxing. I am saying that it is not ‘unfair’ if anyone can do it, within Blizzrd’s rules. Does it feel fair the mboxer can earn more than me, of course it doesn’t. But a feeling is not a fact.
Really, you guys come off as saying “Blizz bent the rules for us, and that was good, a little bit of corruption is good, they get more money, we get a game exploit, everyone wins”
You’ll see me on SL launch! Well all of us really, the way questing is setup we’ll all be in the same areas, horde and alliance for a good while.
How do you bend a rule that never existed?
What do you think happens when someone who only gets 1x node value tries to compete in prices vs someone getting 5x? They can discount the goods way more and still be worth their time compared to the normal player.
Lots of gathering now is just not worth the time investment unless you multibot
Your argument about playing 5 characters and getting 5 characters worth of loot is a bit of a fallacy too. You aren’t putting in 5 characters worth of work software is doing that part. You should share the spoils with them through a paid sub to the software or something like that.
But, multiboxing has always been allowed so it wasn’t bending the rules it’s been the same rules since day 1
ToS says unfair advantages are cheating. I take that to mean unfair advantages are cheating. Not some obscure other meaning as these guys try to portray it.
Ugh, too bad you are on Area 52, I’d love to join you for some fun on my rogue here.
According to you? According to Blizzard? Oh wait a sec… are you an Auction House tycoon that’s mad they can’t snipe auctions anymore and multiboxing has provided enough supply that demand has died down?
I have zero respect for auction house snipers.
Now, if you’re not one, that’s fine. But let’s be completely clear - that drop rate is garbage. If multiboxing helps counter that (which is seriously a questionable suggestion), and players get the value of said drop, for less… why is that bad?
Farming is farming. Are you going to be mad because someone has 10 hours a day to farm and you only have 2? So you think they should be restricted to 2 hours of farming per day?
