I think so too. if cataclysm does happen the token is going to slice a good chunk of players from playing it, which was already a fraction of the players who are playing wotlk. Maybe cata won’t even happen at all because not worth the investment so they might as well squeeze some extra $$$ while they can

You keep referring to genuine fans by gatekeeping Fandom to only those who no life the game. I don’t no life it. I bought gold in vanilla and in classic. I got my mounts and I have also earned a lot of gold legitimately. I would assume I have been playing this game far longer than you have, not a dick measuring contest just as assumption. Based on my assumption anyone who didn’t start when I did or earlier is no genuine fan. You can be both a genuine fan and not want to waste your time working for everything in the game.

Not my problem. In fact, you spit in the face of everybody that made time to spend for this experience. Blizz offered a classic experience, and they have double backed on it. If you are happy about this, you are just the preferred customer, not the preferred fan.
I began playing this game in closed beta when max lvl was 39.
Mispeled is right, this has little to no inpact to the majority of players and they don’t care. People are here most likely until ICC and then quit after that. Ruby Sanctum KEKL. If you are quitting over the wow token you probably already wanted to quit and are just using this as an out.

Not your preferred fan, but a fan that pays money for a product so am a preferred customer and fan. They don’t have a token, I pay, they do I pay… You just sit around and moan. This is the truth. Blizzard wants the cake and eat it too. They released retail update, that took a whole lot from Classic, then they are releasing Diablo, another chunk lost. They are trying to ensure people dont quit so here is the 50% xp buff and the token.
With raids failing badly recently, leveling up something doesnt make sense if no 1 is going to reserve you a spot. So they are pumping air into a torn balloon hoping it gets inflated again.
Who will level and for what. Why pay for Wrath when its not relevant till ICC.

I didn’t unsub because of the the token, it was the accumulation of retail features and retail features and no RDF. The straws on the camel’s back and no RDF to offset it.
Rdf would be nice and for them to stop dicing up the heroic queue into h+ and h++, just do one queue or give us Rdf. All the whiners on here didn’t want it so we stuck without it I guess

People have “just bought gold” since 2019. Just evened the playing field for those who refuse to break TOS. Acting like this is new, is silly. Some of the prices shown to have been paid in TBC even were so astronomical that no one could have paid them out without swiping.

people way overestimate how many people buy gold, I’d put it at less than 10% do that. they have no idea how much of a deterrence it is to have to buy from a thirdparty
